Our children are our inspiration...
The children and staff of Emunah Achuzat Sara children's home are leading a special initiative for the month of Elul - every night at 12:30am a group of children and staff will be leading and davening Slichot at Hostage Square. By doing so they pray for the return of the hostages, they show solidarity and support for their families and unity within all of Am Yisrael - all through this one act of showing up and praying.
The prayers of youth are so precious. And these prayers, in this place, from these children - are as pure and precious as we can imagine.
May their tfillot bring all of the hostages and soldiers home safely and quickly.

This week, the Head of Operations for World Emunah, Meira Lerner, spoke in the Knesset's Aliyah and Diaspora Committee discussion dedicated to the memorial of Jews around the world who were killed due to acts of antisemitism. Recently, Israel passed a law that will ensure that all Jews killed due to acts of antisemitism - Jews killed simply for being Jews - will be recognized during state ceremonies on Yom Hazikaron/Israel's Memorial Day for fallen soldiers and victims of terror. This step is an incredibly important and timely one, bridging and strengthening the connections between the global Jewish community and recognizing that we are all responsible for each other. Emunah Afula's dedicated music teacher, Lily Shatkin has raised a generation of children to love music and play the piano. 🎼🎹 Every few months she arranges a concert to give the children an opportunity to show off and enrich their musical knowledge. The concert is a tribute to famous Israeli musician, Tzvika Pick who passed away this year. 😇 Tree of Lily's "proteges", Eli, San & Bar, who studied music when they were children in the home and are musicians in their right today, volunteered to come back and perform. 🥰🤩
We are celebrating the Jewish Ethiopian festival of Sigd at an Emunah Day Care Center in Netanya. A Slam Dunk for Teens from America and Israel! 😄 With over 10,000 young athletes coming to Israel for the 21st World Maccabi Games which were held July 12-26, what could be better than having the American athletes meet Israeli teens on their own turf? 🤨 This turf is actually a basketball court donated by kind donors from Emunah of America and the Israeli teens live in one of Emunah’s 5 children’s homes. The day was a real win-win for for everyone! 😎Despite the 90-degree temperature and blaring sun, this basketball event became one of the most memorable and impactful days for the young Americans visiting Israel this summer and the Emunah kids had the best time too!
