Hey! I’m Camila, I’m a teacher at Le Wagon. I’m usually based in Barcelona, but recently my love for teaching people how to code has taken me around the world to teach in Dubai, Berlin and now Tel Aviv.
One of the most unusual situations I’ve been in took place 6 years ago, when I found myself in a cave in India playing checkers with a priest who had only eaten potatoes for several years. Needless to say, since then the company I keep has changed somewhat.’

Here at LeWagon every day is a reason to celebrate 🎉 But today wasn’t only about celebrating our achievements but celebrating each other.

Pitch night’s finally here and our awesome participants came up with amazing ideas for the project phase that will blow your mind. 🤯. Therefore, the race to see which projects would be selected was very close. But we’re happy to present to you the three pitches that convinced us the most:

1. MusicTour 🎶 - an app to match singers that want to perform in public with bars and restaurants. 2. MaDoggo 🐕 - find the perfect playdate for your dog.
3. Couch 🛋 - a platform to match patients with the right therapists.

Today we present you 3 types of cyberthreats (and there are many!) that cybersecurity fights🔺

⚠️Malware : it’s a malicious software that a hacker created to damage another user’s computer. It can be spread via email, files downloads etc.

⚠️ SQL injection : it’s a type of cyber-attack used to take control of and steal data from a database.

⚠️ Phishing : this attack uses emails that appear to be from a legitimate company asking for sensitive information (like credit card details).

"My name is Ross Allen. I immigrated to Israel about 6 years ago from Boston to fulfill my dream of serving in the IDF. From 2015 - 2018, I served as commander in a special operations unit responsible for preventing and responding to terror attacks. Today - a few years after my release - I find myself in a whole new world; I am part of the founding team of Affogata.com, a Customer Intelligence pioneer (where I use skills learned at Le Wagon on a daily basis), a full-time Business Admin/Digital Innovation student at Reichman University, a senior instructor in a pre-military preparatory and the regional head of BizDev of a military NGO. Although I never came to Le Wagon with the intent of becoming a developer, I did learn and appreciate programming & development to a whole new level - and use these skills in my daily life. But the most valuable deliverable of Le Wagon - at least for me - was the incredible friendships that were forged in Batch 324! Yalla balagan ✌️"

Did you know that Le Wagon Tel Aviv is located in what once (1965) used to be the tallest building in the Middle East?

Shalom Meir Tower is an office tower in Tel Aviv, Israel 🇮🇱. It was Israel's first skyscraper 🏢. Shalom Meir Tower was designed by architects Yitzhak Pearlstein, Gideon Ziv, and Meir Levy. Migdal Shalom has 34 floors and stands at a height of 120–130m. When its construction was completed in 1965, it was the tallest building in the Middle East, as well as the tallest in Asia, and rivaled the tallest buildings in Europe in height.
