We have re-imagined bandhini by creating a sheet of moving mirrors. The shapes are cut to take flow and contours of movement. As perceived from the name, our collection Bindiya, draws inspiration from the most beloved piece in a woman's wardrobe, Bandhini. Still reigning for ages, the unique colorful aspect of tie-dye in Bhandini has been introduced in stylish overalls in vivid hues and charming silhouettes in this collection, provoking the zestiness of festivities.

The Keya Ensemble from the Ritu Kumar couture’23 collection | The Keya collection is a study of block print techniques of Farrukhabad. We have reimagined the vegetable dyeing techniches to construct a earthy pallate of pastels and indigo's. These have been lifted with classic zardozi.

The Ziba jacket from our couture collection has the opulent style of ornamentation popular through the 19th century marks the prelude to this collection. 'Chogha' worn by the royal members of the Avadh court during that era is the key inspiration behind the print story. Lifted with a dense grid of embroidery in gold bringing its appeal. Handcrafted by our artisans with 'nakshi', 'Kasab', and 'tikki' using the technique of marpan enfolds a saga with our signature.

The Imran coat ensemble from the Ritu Kumar Couture’23 collection is a sophisticated derivative of the age-old technique of Jamavar.
The jacket, which took over 200 hours to embroider, has an intricate design in khaki colours from a hand block from Farrukhabad. The print is very intricate and it draws from the cashmere shawls of the 17th century. This avant-garde style is a modern interpretation expressed through an assembly of vibrance & monotones. The paisleys act as a central motif to this composition which has been enriched with our hand-crafted legacy of zardozi & dori work.

This dress showcased from our Coture’23 collection features a layering of techniques, including a Kashmiri motif, handblock printing and some very fine aari work.
It's in the colour Gheru, traditionally derived from plant dyes. We have recreated the colour here to match the traditional plant based hue.
The panel is printed in design from a Jamawar shawl with detailing on the neck. The entire piece features fine gold thread work that gives it a bit of a shine. The metallic look is very reminiscent of our older work.
