Ratha Saptami or Rathasapthami (Sanskrit: रथसप्तमी or Magha Saptami) is a Hindu festival that falls on the seventh day (Saptami) in the bright half (Shukla Paksha) of the Hindu month Magha. This year it falls on 16th of February

The Sun God Surya turns his Ratha (Chariot) drawn by seven horses (representing seven colours) towards the northern hemisphere, in a north-easterly direction on this day. It also marks the birth of Surya and hence celebrated as Surya Jayanti (the Sun-god’s birthday).

God Vishnu in his form as Surya (the Sun-God) is usually worshipped on this day

Of the artisans,which were made during Hoysala dynasty

recently added in UNESCO world heritage sites.

Hoysala dynasty reigned from 11th century to 14th century, over the regions of river cauveri and tungabhadra
Halebeedu was the capital of Hoysala kingdom
It is believed that Hoysala temple construction continued for over a century and it remained incomplete.

As my client's only demand was bright colors and other things design size everything was trusted on to me,

Customized a set of 2 in shades of beige for a client in Tamil Nadu

Today being Hartalika Pooja day, was in traditional attire and I also love wearing saree. So took pics with this in saree ( which is from my mom's collection,but now it's mine 😅)

Hartalika is celebrated to commemorate the loving bond of Lord Shiva 🕉️ and Goddess Parvati

People create idols of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati from sand and engage in their worship, seeking blessings🙏
