ਚੀਫ਼ ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾ ਦੀਵਾਨ ਦੇ ਆਨਰੇਰੀ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਸ੍ਰ.ਸਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਕੱਥੂਨੰਗਲ ਨੇ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੰਜ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਮਰਤਾ ਦੇ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀ ਦੇ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੇਧਾਂ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਣਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਚੀਫ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਦੀਵਾਨ ਐਡੀ.ਆਨਰੇਰੀ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਦਫ਼ਤਰ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਸ੍ਰ.ਸੁਖਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸ ਨੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਨੂੰ ਨਤਮਸਤਕ ਹੁੰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਿੱਖ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤਾਂ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਕੌਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਨੀਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਜਬੂਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਸੱਚ ਲਈ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ਸ਼ੀਲ ਰਹਿਣ, ਸਬਰ, ਸੰਤੋਖ ਅਤੇ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੱਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਕਰਨ,ਪਰਉਪਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਧਰਮ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਿਪੱਕ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੀ ਸਿਖਿਆ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।
ਉਪਰੰਤ ਧਰਮ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਬੀਬੀ ਕਿਰਨਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਸੁੱਚੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਲਾਸਾਨੀ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਬਾਰੇ ਚਾਨਣਾ ਪਾਇਆ।

Chief Khalsa Diwan organises a two days training Worskshop on Innovative Teaching Practices for CKD ICT Teachers

A two days training workshop on Innovative Teaching Practices for ICT teachers was conducted for the teachers of Sri Guru Harkrishan Sr. Sec. Public Schools by the Directorate of Education under the flagship of Chief Khalsa Diwan Charitable Society.
In a bid to enhance teaching methodologies and foster innovation in the field of ICT education a training session on "Softwares and Programming Fundamentals" was organized by the team of Start Coding. This training session served as a catalyst for empowering educators to harness the power of technology in the classroom . Participants learned how to design engaging coding challenges and also had hands-on practice. In a dynamic and interactive training session many new softwares were introduced like Adobe firefly .

Dr. Navalpreet Singh, as a resource person, provided valuable insights into the diverse applications of AI tools in education during the workshop. His expertise shed light on how AI can revolutionize the teaching-learning process, making it more personalized, adaptive, and engaging for students. By showcasing real-world examples and case studies. S.Gagandeep Singh discussed the uses and features of Adobe Firefly.

Dr A P Singh Chawla, Director of education CKD while interacting with the teachers he said that I am delighted to see our educators embracing new methodologies and technologies to enhance IT education. This workshop signifies our commitment to providing quality education and equipping our teachers with the necessary skills to prepare students for the digital future. I applaud the efforts of all participants and look forward to witnessing the positive impact of this training on our students' learning journey."

In a concerted effort to address pressing environmental concerns, a seminar on " Plantation, Water Resources and Conservation, Single Use Plastic “was held at SGHPS GT Road for the students of Grade XI. The event, organized by
Haryaval Punjab,Amritsar aimed to raise awareness and foster dialogue on critical issues threatening the planet's ecological balance.
Keynote speakers Professor Mukesh Aggarwal, Retired Principal (Govt. Rajindra College,Bathinda) and Mr P.N.Sharma, Retired Regional Sales Manager highlighted the alarming rate of deforestation, and the imminent threat of species extinction. They underscored the interconnectedness of human activities with the health of the planet and stressed the need for immediate collective action.
Participants explored practical measures to reduce carbon footprints, promote eco-friendly lifestyles, and empower communities to become stewards of the environment. Notable initiatives showcased during the seminar included community-led reforestation projects, zero-waste water campaigns, and educational programs targeting youth engagement in environmental activism.
In the closing remarks, keynote speakers emphasized the urgency of the situation, stating, "The time for action is now. We cannot afford to delay any longer. Each one of us has a responsibility to safeguard the Earth for future generations."

Ekamdeep Singh Sikri of SGHPS GT Road brings laurels to the school by securing the pinnacle position within the city, marking a remarkable achievement. Celebrations erupted at SGHPS GT Road as its students achieved a 100% pass rate in the CBSE X Board Examination. The ambience was filled with elation and exultance as Ekamdeep Singh Sikri emerged as the city topper with outstanding 99.6%* marks. Rejoicing over his success, Ekamdeep Singh Sikri attributed his success to hard work and consistency, expressing his ambition to become a doctor. Following closely behind, Japjeet Kaur secured the second position with 98.4%, and Sehajdeep Singh and Sanpreet Kaur claimed the third position with 97.8% marks. They all credited the school management and Principal for providing a solid foundation for their future. Principal/ Assistant Director S Mandeep Singh was full of praise for the entire school community for the stellar results.While talking to the media he said that out of 330 students who appeared for class X CBSE Board Examination, 25 students got 95% and above and 32 students got 90% to 94%. Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar, President of CKD commended the school's 100% pass rate and extended his congratulations to all involved. Students of Sri Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary Public School, GT Road, being run under the patronage of the Chief Khalsa Diwan, registered excellent marks in the CBSE Class X and XII results. In Class XII, Bhavkiran Kaur scored 97% marks in commerce. Divleen Kaur secured 96% marks in non-medical, Kusampreet Kaur 94.4% marks in medical group and Kanwalgurpreet Singh 93% in arts. In Class X, Ekamdeep Singh secured the first position by securing 99.6% marks, Japjit Kaur 98.4%, and Sainpreet Kaur and Sehajdeep Singh secured 97.8% marks and secured the third position.

With this beautiful thought in mind Mother's day was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm in SGHPS G.T.Road campus on May 09, 2024. It was organised to honour the most sacrificing and loving souls. Our school came alive with the presence of all the dynamic posters, charts and bouquets . Everyone experienced a power packed creation of the students of Grade XI and XII. The fruitful and honest efforts of the children rejoiced everyone and strengthened the Mother- Child relationship. The Principal congratulated the students and their associated teachers for exhibiting a perfect blend of emotions and feelings.

Amritsar, May 9, 2024: Today, on the occasion of Indian National Technology Day, students of the Senior Secondary section at Sri Guru Harkrishan Sr. Sec. Public School GT Road showcased their knowledge and enthusiasm for technological advancements through a series of presentations and lectures.
The event, organized by the school's Computer & Science department, aimed to celebrate the technological achievements of India and inspire the younger generation to pursue careers in science and technology. World Red Cross Day is observed on May 8 every year to honour and acknowledge the humanitarian efforts of the International Red Cross members and volunteers of Red Crescent Movement. It is a day to recognise the incredible work they do to alleviate human sufferings around the world. Today at Sri Guru Harkrishan Sr.Sec. Public School ,G.T.Road students of XI and XII recognised the dedication of volunteers and staff who provide aid and support to those who are in need from disaster relief to health care assistance by making colourful posters and thus celebrated the spirit of compassion and solidarity that derives the Red cross movement forward.

In a world where concerns about environmental sustainability are on the rise, a new trend in culinary innovation is gaining momentum – fire-free cooking. This method of food preparation utilizes alternative technologies and techniques to cook meals without the need for traditional fire-based methods such as stoves or grills. Students of SGHPS also embraced cooking without fire and presented their creativity skills by preparing raw dishes like salads,sandwiches, chocolate balls and virgin mojito. These dishes showcased the natural flavours of fruits n vegetables while also providing a plethora of health benefits.

May 1st is celebrated as International Labour DAY OR May Day. This day marks the celebrations of the working class and the labourers. Thus SGHPS also celebrated this day by paying respect to the people who work for the School. Beautiful posters were made by students of class XI and XII to honour the dedication and achievements of the workers. Principal S Mandeep Singh stated that we must teach our children to have gratitude in heart for those who serve them and this day reminds us to be kind and respectful towards all those who help us on daily basis.

World Malaria Day 2024

Every year, on April 25th World Malaria Day is celebrated to raise awareness about the prevention measures against Malaria and what we can do to ensure that we do not fall victim to this disease. On this World Malaria Day 2024, we unite under the theme "Accelerating the fight against malaria for a more equitable world."

SGHPS GT Road observed World Book & Copyright Day with a series of engaging activities highlighting the importance of literature and respecting intellectual property rights.The students of Grade VII to X participated in story telling & book review session, poetry recitals and poster making activity, showcasing their literary talents and sharing their favourite read with peers. Madam Ranjot Kaur, librarian of Senior Section threw a light on the history of the day and shared the power of books. Sargunpreet Kaur while narrating the story from book ‘ Hundred Thoughts’ mesmerized the audience with her appropriate use of voice modulation,body language infused passion and enhanced imagination & expression. Jasmeet Singh reflected the truth of life in his poem ‘Munde Ronde Nhi’. Arshdeep Singh giving book review of famous Punjabi novel narrated an humourous episode. Headmistress Mrs Kawalpreet Kaur was full of praise and while addressing the students she said ‘ One should develop the habit of reading in one's life.’ Overall the observance of World Book and Copyright Day was a resounding success inspiring students to embrace the world of literature.

'Let's choose a plastic free planet this Earth Day!'

Moving with the theme - Planet Vs Plastic GT Road School observed Earth Day to show solidarity for environmental conservation with a multitude of engaging activities - Rally, Poster Making, Tree plantation for Grade VII to X students. Assistant Director/Principal S. Mandeep Singh alongwith Headmistress Mrs Kawalpreet Kaur joined the Tree Plantation drive. While addressing the students he laid stress on the importance of '3Rs' i.e. Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. The drive was a huge success empowering students with substantial knowledge of environment and plants.
