SARVODAYA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL celebrated the National Science Day on 28th February, 2024 with great enthusiasm.

The school members organized a Science and Maths exhibition on this day for the students to mark the discovery of the Raman Effect of 1928 by the Indian Scientist Sir C.V Raman.

The ultimate aim of celebrating the day is to provide awareness of Science and Maths among students. The programme was conducted in the premises of SARVODAYA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL and all the students participated in the exhibition and all the faculty members as well as parents attended the function.

The programme began with a short prayer service. Founder of Sarvodaya international school and OSD to hon minister Atul save sir our beloved ashok sir was the chief guest of event .
The students pledged for their contributions in the field.
The Chief guest inspired and motivated the students through his message. Principal Mrs. Chaitali Dandge appreciated the students for putting up an unique programme, not with dances and songs this time, but with variety of activities and experiments which is food for the mind, enkindling a desire for innovation and scientific temper.

The students paid a fitting tribute to the physicist Sir C.V. Raman and celebrated the National Science Day uniquely. The programme commenced invoking and thanking God for His creation of this universe.

Each and every child was a part and parcel of the programme to showcase their talents.
The introduction to their different topics – health and hygiene, balanced diet, sky and energy was very well articulated by the students. The ambience was vibrant with the still models of different types of habitat for human beings and birds. The marvellous and magnificent working models of sky and energy, the glorious solar system with its gravitational bond, temporary obscurity in the solar and lunar eclipses, solar energy, the functioning of the wind mill, the facts behind harvesting the rainwater, the marvel of hydro electricity, the openings and vents about the volcanoes, the beauty in the formation of rainbow, the rationale behind day and night, that is… rotation and revolution of earth, Mars Orbiter Mission spacecraft-Mangalyaan, Chandraayan and Nebula a distinct body of interstellar clouds. All these and many more models surely paved a path for the students to become astronauts. The well prepared and presented healthy food like green salads, sprouted salads, fruit salad, juices and kashaya along with the different models of hygiene made everyone realize that health and hygiene is the need of the hour.

All the parents attended the exhibition. The parent community was happy to see their children perform so well, they expressed thankfulness towards teachers for putting in the efforts to make it a wonderful exhibition. Parents encouraged the tiny tots by constantly appreciating their efforts and had a great time.
The students with the support of their parents and teachers truly exhibited their incredible talents. We are indeed proud of them and grateful to the efforts of all the students in their projects and explanations.

The chief guest Dr. Ashok Dandge sir in his message interacted with the students and urged them to show interest in experiments and technology so that we are well prepared with the scientific tempo. A true tribute indeed to our great physicist Sir C.V. Raman on the National Science Day!!!

Marathi Bhasha Diwas is celebrated in honour of the Marathi language. It is celebrated on 27th February to rejoice the birth anniversary of Dyanpeeth award winner late poet V.V. Shirwadkar who is also known as Kusumagraj. Marathi being the official language of the State of Maharashtra, the main focus of this celebration is to promote and sustain the richness of Marathi culture among the young generation.

To mark the birth anniversary of this great personality, a special assembly was conducted at Sarvodaya International School on 27/02/2024 with an aim to inculcate and honour the rich history and literature associated with it among Marathi-speaking communities in the state. The assembly commemorated with pledge in Marathi . Information on Marathi Diwas was given by Mrs. Lata More Ma,am (faculty from Marathi Department ) followed by a poetry recitation. Thereafter, a beautiful Marathi song was sung by a group of students of grade I.

Retro to Metro was the theme of our second Annual Day held on 3rd of February 2024
Each and every child was a part and parcel of the program to showcase their talents. A grand stage had been set up. The stage was decorated elegantly. The program started with traditional lamp lightning followed by Ganesh Vandana. All the other performances added credit to the theme. The Kindergarten Children were the cream of the show. They looked stunning in colorful costumes.The students performed welcome dances ,steps to pop numbers of years, cultural dances folk to new, indo western fusion dance as a tribute to year of tolerance to demonstrate happiness, togetherness and openness to the different cultures in India. All the participants and their parents attended the function. The parent community was happy to see their children perform so well, they expressed thankfulness towards teachers for putting in the efforts to make it a wonderful program. Parents encouraged the tiny tots by constantly applauding and had a very good time enjoying the evening.
Our students put forth a marvelous show in the Annual Concert. They took the audience on an enthralling journey to the past and left them awestruck with the dance, drama in both retro and metro style. We are indeed proud of them and grateful to the efforts of all teachers in training them.
The program ended with vote of thanks presented by our teacher.
