Sunlit Future was delighted to host the Global Water Utility Leadership team from Grundfos on the 1st of March.

The team met with farmers in Auroville to understand the usage of Grundfos solar water pumps and the impact it is creating on ground.

Together, we bring solutions to the people.

Grundfos's Jal Se Jeevan Yatra has reached Auroville. Here we have farmers and users of Grundfos products for agriculture visiting the demonstration of Grundfos solar pumps in Sunlit Future campus in Auroville.

Sunlit Future is proud to be continuing its partnership with Grundfos for more than 2 decades now.

We aim to provide sustainable solutions to the farmers for one of the most pressing issues in the country, solar for agriculture.

Against this beautiful background of hills is located the Kalasalingam University in Srivilliputhur.

In this campus, nature adds to a lot. This beautiful backdrop of continuous hills, harnessed solar energy and so on makes the place stand out.

In the remote tribal villages of Thane and Palghar, where the echoes of progress often seemed distant, Sunandatai Patwardhan emerged as a beacon of hope. Witnessing the daily struggle of over 30,000 tribal women who had to trek for miles just to fetch water, Sunandatai envisioned a transformative solution.

With unwavering dedication, she spearheaded the implementation of the Tap Water Scheme, a pioneering initiative that brought the lifeline of water directly to the doorsteps of these marginalized communities. Sunandatai understood that access to clean water was not just a necessity but a fundamental right that could break the chains of hardship.

The scheme, executed with meticulous planning and community involvement, became a game-changer for the tribal women. No longer burdened by the arduous journey for water, they found newfound freedom and time to pursue education, livelihoods, and community activities.

Sunandatai's Tap Water Scheme not only quenched their physical thirst but also nurtured the seeds of empowerment and progress. It became a symbol of her commitment to uplifting the tribal communities, fostering self-reliance, and laying the foundation for a brighter future.

As we celebrate the remarkable life of Sunandatai Patwardhan, let the ripples of her legacy continue to inspire us to strive for positive change and uplift those who need it the most. 🌟

Installing solar water pumps in rural villages of Kurinjipadi area in Cuddalore district, Tamilnadu. The area lies in coastal belt and is prone to frequent cyclone hits due to which reliability on power supply is very less. Water becomes a distant resource despite being closer to the sea.

Now water is being brought closer to them.

Proud to share Sunlit Future's commitment towards UNSDG 2030 through our India Water Project has been listed in 'The Partnership Platform' among other initiatives from around the world.

We have installed solar water pumps in 430 remote villages across India through Grundfos Foundation - PDJF's support and in the year 2022-23, we will be installing pumps in 100 more villages.

Super enthusiastic students from Auroville Transition school at the rooftop of Sunlit Future, keen to learn about the Solar installations.

This batch of students guided by teachers John and Clare have done a detailed study of power consumption in Transition school and have now got a rooftop solar in their school with the help of the Sunlit Future team.

They are now going green by cutting down on electricity consumption from the Grid.
