Why Diabetes happen ?
- Diabetes is a long-term (chronic) disease in which the body cannot regulate the amount of sugar in the blood.
Diabetes is on the rise worldwide, and is a serious, lifelong disease that can lead to heart disease, stroke, and lasting nerve, eye and foot problems. Let's talk about diabetes and the difference between the three types of diabetes. So, what exactly is diabetes and where does it come from? An organ in your body called the pancreas produces insulin, a hormone that controls the levels of your blood sugar. When you have too little insulin in your body, or when insulin doesn't work right in your body, you can have diabetes, the condition where you have abnormally high glucose or sugar levels in your blood. Normally when you eat food, glucose enters your bloodstream. Glucose is your body's source of fuel. Your pancreas makes insulin to move glucose from your bloodstream into muscle, fat, and liver cells, where your body turns it into energy. People with diabetes have too much blood sugar because their body cannot move glucose into fat, liver, and muscle cells to be changed into and stored for energy. There are three major types of diabetes. Type 1 diabetes happens when the body makes little or no insulin. It usually is diagnosed in children, teens, or young adults. But about 80% of people with diabetes have what's called Type 2 diabetes. This disease often occurs in middle adulthood, but young adults, teens, and now even children are now being diagnosed with it linked to high obesity rates. In Type 2 diabetes, your fat, liver, and muscle cells do not respond to insulin appropriately. Another type of diabetes is called gestational diabetes. It's when high blood sugar develops during pregnancy in a woman who had not had diabetes beforehand. Gestational diabetes usually goes away after the baby is born. But, still pay attention. These women are at a higher risk of type 2 diabetes over the next 5 years without a change in lifestyle. If you doctor suspects you have diabetes, you will probably have a hemoglobin A1c test. This is an average of your blood sugar levels over 3 months. You have pre-diabetes if your A1c is 5.7% to 6.4%. Anything at 6.5% or higher indicates you have diabetes. Type 2 diabetes is a wake up call to focus on diet and exercise to try to control your blood sugar and prevent problems. If you do not control your blood sugar, you could develop eye problems, have problems with sores and infections in your feet, have high blood pressure and cholesterol problems, and have kidney, heart, and problems with other essential organs. People with Type 1 diabetes need to take insulin every day, usually injected under the skin using a needle. Some people may be able to use a pump that delivers insulin to their body all the time. People with Type 2 diabetes may be able to manage their blood sugar through diet and exercise. But if not, they will need to take one or more drugs to lower their blood sugar levels. The good news is, people with any type of diabetes, who maintain good control over their blood sugar, cholesterol, and blood pressure, have a lower risk of kidney disease, eye disease, nervous system problems, heart attack, and stroke, and can live, a long and healthy life.
What is Radiology? ( এক্সরে ও অন্যান্য রশ্মির বিকিরণের বিজ্ঞানসম্মত অধ্যয়ন ও তার প্রয়োগঘটিত চিকিত্সা-পদ্ধতি )
- Radiology is a specialty of medicine in which images of the body’s organs are interpreted in order to diagnose disease. Radiologists are medical doctors (MDs) having the specialized training to interpret medical images for diagnosis while radiologic technologists are the medical imaging professionals that use and manage the equipment for making the images. Radiologists interpret these images and give reports to referring clinical doctors ranging from surgeons, pediatricians, obstetricians, and internists to work as a team in providing medical care.
Radiology is vital for nearly every sector of health care, including surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics, cancer-care, trauma-response, emergency medicine, infectious disease and much more. Therefore a gap in radiology resources is a focal point of health care disparity that can break the chain of health care in poor regions. We invite you to support RAD-AID in our efforts to bring radiology to the 3-4 billion people who lack these essential health technologies.
Radiology services can address many of the growing challenges in improving access to life-saving health care in the developing world. Radiology can aid in the diagnosis of diseases such as tuberculosis and cancers such as breast cancer. With the advent of new technologies that store radiology images electronically, doctors can now analyze these images to detect epidemics more quickly and accurately. Radiology is a vital component of most medical decisions affecting patient care and radiologists work with all clinical specialties to make these important decisions, ranging from surgeons, internists, pediatricians, obstetricians, etc.
RAD-AID is an organization with a mission to promote and improve global health care by increasing the access to radiology services in underserved regions. Our mission includes optimizing those imaging services for long-lasting sustainability by donating equipment, training personnel, provide financing to local health care providers, providing consultations and education via teleradiology (electronic transmission of images for internet-based consultation and interpretation), providing technology for improved transmission and management of images, and collecting data to study and perfect the use of imaging in limited-resource environments.
How and why cancer is caused! Which foods increase the risk of cancer in humans?
What is cancer -
The sum of diseases related to uncontrolled cell division. The death rate from this disease is still very high. The reason is that cancer is not easily caught in the early stages, so it is not possible to give any good treatment in the last stage. In fact, no cure for cancer has yet been discovered. Different types of treatment methods are used to cure cancer. However, if caught early, the chances of curing the disease are greatly increased.
The bodies of all the animals in the world are made up of countless tiny cells. These cells die one after the other over a period of time. These old cells are replaced by new ones. Cells usually divide in a controlled and regular way to give birth to new cells. In general, when these cells continue to grow uncontrollably for any reason, lumps or lumps of flesh appear under the skin. This is called a tumor. These tumors can be benign or malignant. Malignant tumors are called cancers. In detail, a tissue that grows uncontrollably is called a neoplasia (tumor), and a cell with a similar function is called a neoplastic cell. When neoplastic cells cannot pe*****te the surrounding tissue, it is called a benign or benign tumor. Benign tumors are not cancers. Neoplasia is a malignant tumor, or cancer, when the tissue is penetrating. And its uncontrolled dividing power is called cancer cells. Many cancers first start as benign tumors, then some of the cells in them become malignant (i.e. penetrating). However, there is no guarantee that benign tumors will turn into cancer. There are some benign tumor-like disorders that are unlikely to cause cancer - called pre-cancer. Benign in name means innocuous but benign tumors can also damage the surrounding collar with pressure. Metastasis is a stage of cancer in which cancer cells pe*****te other tissues and spread to distant tissues through the blood, lymphatic system, etc. Later some of the cells in it become malignant (i.e. penetrating). How to prevent:
1. Smoking: One-fourth of all types of cancer in the world are due to smoking and consumption of to***co products.
2. Alcohol: Just as smoking causes various types of cancer in the body, so too alcohol causes cancer in many parts of the body. Alcohol is often responsible for cancer of the mouth, liver, esophagus, and pharynx.
3. Infections: Different types of infections also cause cancer. However, if every infection can be treated at the right time, it is possible to stay away from cancer. Bacterial infections can cause stomach cancer. Can cause cancer for human papilloma virus, Epstein-Barr virus, hepatitis B virus, capsaicin sarcoma herpes virus. In this case, for any type of infection, you need to seek treatment from a doctor quickly and have regular follow-up.
4. Caution in eating salt: The role of salt for stomach cancer in the UK is 14%. Our daily salt intake should be less than 6 grams (2.4 grams of sodium). Therefore, everyone should always be careful when eating salt. Sodium should also be taken into consideration when buying food from the market.
5. Don't use a microwave oven: Many people are accustomed to heating food in a microwave oven or stove. However, scientists say that heating food reduces the risk of cancer.
6. Sleep with the lights off at night: Prolonged exposure to artificial light increases the risk of cancer. Keeping the lights on for long nights can lead to breast cancer and urethral cancer.

This is what happens to a baby’s body during birth?
- Pregnancy, labour and delivery are incredibly physically demanding for women. But birth is no walk in the park for the baby either. By recording MRI scans before and during labour, the researchers show the degree to which a baby’s skull bones ride over each other, allowing the whole skull to morph. The baby’s head becomes a sugarloaf shape — an elongated cone, with a rounded tip at one end — to get through the pelvis. The brain itself changes form as this happens too.
Head compression is just one of the many incredible physical changes that takes place in infants during birth. Babies undergo a massive transition during labour and delivery as they move from the supported environment of the uterus to independent existence.
Many body systems change to do this. Some have already been in transition. For example, urine output from the fetus contributes to the amniotic fluid (the liquid that surrounds the baby) in the later part of pregnancy. Other organs require a sudden change in the first few moments after delivery, such as expansion of the lungs.
Before the baby is born, blood goes through the placenta to get rid of waste and to pick up oxygen and nutrients that come from the mother. The developing baby manages on relatively low oxygen levels while in the uterus. After birth the child is exposed to suddenly higher (potentially dangerous) oxygen levels. This shift requires different ways to protect the newborn — so the baby has systems ramped up to cope with this sudden flood of oxygen. Mild jaundice, a temporary yellowing of the skin.

What is wellness and why is it important ?
- Wellness is primarily being in good physical and mental health. Because mental health and physical health are so closely linked, problems in one area can impact the other. At the same time, improving your physical health can also benefit your mental health and other life domains, and vice versa. It is important to be aware that wellness is an intentional, ongoing and holistic approach to making healthy choices for in eight major areas of life functioning.
More than a year and a half ago, impacts to every aspect of student individual and relational wellness occurred in unprecedented ways due to the pandemic. The most evident is living life while taking precautions, masked and medically protected by the vaccine, but it has left no domain of wellness untouched. We invite you to reflect on what it may mean now to “Let Your Wellness Flow” with creativity, self-compassion, and collective understanding of each other. The intention is not to suggest that we now have additional things to do to feel better, but that we have options; new, optimistic ways to navigate what it means to be intentionally, holistically well while feeling the impact of so much change
Wellness is…
• “The quality or state of being in good health especially as an actively sought goal.”
• “The state of being in good health, especially as an actively pursued goal.” “The quality or state of being healthy in body and mind, especially as the result of deliberate effort.”
• “A multidimensional state of being describing the existence of positive health in an individual as exemplified by quality of life and a sense of well-being.”
• “An active process through which people become aware of, and make choices toward, a more successful existence.”
• “An active process of becoming aware of and making choices toward a healthy and fulfilling life. Wellness is more than being free from illness, it is a dynamic process of change and growth.”
• “The condition of being healthy”

What Human Body Organ Systems?
-The organ systems of the human body all have specific functions. The VA uses the categories of major organ systems to classify disability claims. Here, we will break down how the different organ systems match up with the VA’s disability systems.
Our bodies are made up of 11 basic organ systems that manage all the essential body functions. These systems, while interdependent, can become out of tune. When one is not functioning properly, the others will attempt to correct the problem. All the systems will work together to try to create what is known as homeostasis or a state of balance within the body.
The VA defines 14 disability systems, which are similar to the body systems. However, the disability systems are separated differently for rating purposes. These systems are listed with the medical listing and are identified independently when necessary.
These 14 systems are the Musculoskeletal system; Organs of Special Sense; Auditory; Infectious Diseases, Immune Disorders, and Nutritional Deficiencies; Respiratory system; Cardiovascular system; Digestive system; Genitourinary System; Hemic and Lymphatic system; Skin; Endocrine system; Neurological conditions; Mental Disorders, and Dental and Oral conditions.
Below is a description of the basic functions of each system as well as some of the diseases and disorders associated with each system. These lists are not complete and do not take the place of medical advice.
