Several underprivileged paralytic survivors struggle with limited access to essential care and technology, leading to delayed recovery.

Supporting this cause, Team BPCL, led by Shri Rahul Tandon, Business Head (I&C), along with senior officials from I&C and the CSR team, handed over a cheque for funding advanced sensory-based medical equipment for the physiotherapy ward at Government Homeopathic Medical College (GHMC) in Bhopal. This initiative is expected to impact 18,250 lives annually.

Activities under Swacchata Pakhwada were conducted at MCGM Government schools in Mahul, Mumbai. Over 500 students, along with teachers and principals, came together for a mass Swachhata Pledge event.

Participants committed to upholding cleanliness and hygiene, making it a way of life both inside and outside the school.

This pledge symbolizes our community's collective initiative to create a cleaner, healthier environment for all.

To commemorate the 9th Swachhta Pakhwada 2024, under the aegis of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Shri G. Krishnakumar, C&MD BPCL, administered the pledge in the presence of Shri VRK Gupta, Director Finance, Shri Sukhmal Jain, Director Marketing, Shri Raj Kumar Dubey, Director HR, Ms. Meenaxi Rawat, CVO, and senior officials from other departments.

The kick-off event aimed to encourage all employees to dedicate their time to cleanliness activities. Shri G. Krishnakumar also felicitated the sanitation workforce who tirelessly make a difference in our lives.

Shri Sanjay Khanna, Director Refineries, administered the pledge to Mumbai Refinery officials at a separate event.

Events and activities are planned across BPCL in the coming fortnight to maximize awareness around cleanliness during the 9th Swachhta Pakhwada.

BPCL is pleased to join hands with the Indian Olympic Association as the official Principal Partner for four years, starting from Paris Olympics ’24 through Los Angeles Olympics ’28.

This four-year partnership supports and salutes the sheer grit and determination of Indian athletes, many of whom come from humble backgrounds and remote corners of India.

The announcement was made in a star-studded evening graced by Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, and Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour & Employment Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya.

Shri Sukhmal Jain, Director Marketing BPCL, Shri Raj Kumar Dubey, Director HR BPCL and senior officials from BPCL, Paris Olympics bound Indian contingent members and former Olympics medal winners were also present at the athlete send off ceremony, hosted by IOA.

We have the legacy of BPCL’s philosophy of nurturing and encouraging our country’s sporting talent from their initial years and through their sporting careers. We have, over the years, taken on board, over 200 sportspersons across various disciplines. Our support serves to provide confidence to the sportspersons, acting as a springboard for their aspirations.

We bid farewell to Shri D.V. Mamadapur, a true leader who dedicated over three decades to Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL). His blend of perseverance, creativity, and compassion has left an indelible mark on the energy sector.

Shri Mamadapur started his journey as an E&P site engineer, culminating leadership roles such as Plant Manager, Territory Manager, and Executive Director. Under his guidance, BPCL achieved unprecedented success in the LPG business.

His leadership philosophy is centered around Safety, Trust, and Convenience, inspiring a culture of excellence and accountability throughout the organization.

As we celebrate Shri Mamadapur's illustrious career, we wish him a joyful journey ahead.

Shri Sanjeev Agrawal, Executive Director, superannuates after an extraordinary journey of 39 years in BPCL. He was part of the team that launched the automation at Fuel Stations, setting new industry standards.

Throughout his tenure, he exemplified dedication and professionalism. He surely leaves a legacy of innovation, growth, and a deep commitment to our company’s values and vision.

As we bid farewell, we wish him a wonderful and fulfilling post-retirement life.

Meet Shahnawaz Khan, a mechanical engineer from Ujjain Engineering College, who embarked on his BPCL journey in August 2008 at Bina Refinery. As a Management Trainee, he spearheaded the project ex*****on for the critical Hydrogen Cracking Unit/Diesel Hydrotreater Unit, essential for refining diesel fractions to meet market specifications.

Shahnawaz's expertise blossomed as he played a pivotal role in managing procurement and ensuring seamless operations during the refinery's first major turnaround in 2015. Later, he led the team, which installed a new 600 KTPA Kerosene Hydro Desulphurization (KHDS) Unit, in Bina Refinery, crucial for enhancing BS-VI HSD and ATF production while minimizing kerosene use.

Currently, Shahnawaz is a cornerstone of the maintenance planning team, focusing on procurement, service alignment and reliability. Reflecting on his journey, he shares, "The work culture and ethics at BPCL give us a competitive edge that excites me the most."

Shahnawaz’s evolution from a trainee to a pivotal figure in BPCL’s Bina Refinery projects exemplifies his dedication, leadership, and innovative spirit, reflecting BPCL’s core values.
