World Diabetes Day is celebrated every year on 14 November 2023 and the day is an opportunity to raise awareness about diabetes as a global public health issue and decide the strategies as to what needs to be done, collectively and individually for better prevention, diagnosis and management of the condition.

This World Diabetes Day, WHO highlights the need for equitable access to essential care which includes ways to minimize the risk of complications in diabetes. There will be activities to celebrate the experiences of people with all forms of diabetes to help those impacted to take action, including seeking and obtaining essential care.

World Osteoporosis Day is observed on October 20th every year, with the aim of raising global awareness about the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of osteoporosis. Osteoporosis is a chronic condition characterised by the weakening of bones, making them fragile and more prone to fractures.

It was our pleasure to take part in "Advanced CME of KOA conducted by Thrissur Orthopaedic Society", at Ashoka Inn, Thrissur, Kerala on 14th & 15th October 2023. Our stall was visited by several Ortho specialists from all over Kerala. By taking part actively in similar workshops, Mekiro demonstrated its commitment to the society.

We are delighted to inform you that as part of World Health Day 2023 celebrations, we conducted a Bone Mineral Density (BMD) camp on 8th April 2023. The event was organized with the aim of raising awareness about the importance of bone health and detecting early signs of osteoporosis.

The BMD camp was conducted by a team of qualified medical professionals who used state-of-the-art equipment to measure the bone density of the participants. The tests were quick, painless, and non-invasive, and the results were provided on the spot. The participants were also given valuable advice on how to maintain healthy bones through proper nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle changes.

We are happy to report that the BMD camp was a huge success, with a large number of people participating and benefiting from the event. The feedback from the participants has been overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing gratitude for the opportunity to learn more about their bone health.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the medical professionals who helped make the BMD camp a success, as well as all the participants who took the time to attend. We hope that this event has helped raise awareness about the importance of bone health and encouraged people to take proactive steps to maintain healthy bones.
