This is another beautifull shelf with a carved parrot. We actually built the shelf around the parrot. The parrot is an antique piece. It is small hence easy to use anywhere. Here used very effectively to display a Ganesha by a client.

Sorry people for having forgotten to post the dimensions of this piece. It is 27 inches length, depth of 9 inches and a ht of 9 inches. We have removed all this white patti and now it is a nice teakwood finish. Its orignal color

I am starting a series on shelves. I have different types both old and new. All in teakwood. This one is a beautifull carved shelf, hand carved in teakwood. Use it anywhere. Can also double up as a puja shelf. Its a piece of art!

Something different. A colorfull mirror for the enterance or anywhere else. Almost 3 ft tall from end to end.

A beautifull rosewood desk/consul table. Perfect grains and color. Single plank on top. One of the best i have seen in a while, lookswise and qualitywise.

Two completely different styles of mirrors. The large one on the right is typically art deco in style, ideal for the enterance as it has some hooks for keys and stuff and a shelf

Orchids blooming for the first time in my back verandah! I have miserably failed all these years at growing orchids. Tried many times. Killed many. Gave away some. Was thrilled to see the buds appear. Another reason to give thanks.

I recently met someone who was looking for something for a very specific use. She was looking for a FURO. For those who dont know, which includes me, a furo is a cabinet used to cure the repaired pieces
She had been to japan and learned the art of KINTSUGI, that is repairing broken pieces with gold. .thats the Furo we put together for her. I have included a picture of the art of Kintsugi as well

I recently met somebody who has actually travelled to Japan to learn the art of Kintsugi!.
For those of you who dont know, kintsugi is the art of repairing broken pieces with gold. A very precise art form.
She was wanting a small cabinet in which she could cure her repaired pieces. Its called a Furo. So this is the Furo we put together for her and the 2nd is an example of kintsugi.

This is the door

We have just started restoration work on this beautifull door.see the beautifull details stand out as the black stuff is removed! Gorgeous carving work more than an inch deep. Its a piece of art more to be displayed than used as a door. Painstaking work as one has to work carefully around the fine details. No shortcuts. All teakwood.
