Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar - In the Advanced Course you all have heard of the Shatt Sampatti (six wealths, or six fold virtues)
• Sama (calmness or quietude of mind)
• Dama (self control or restraint of the senses)
• Uparati (satiety)
• Titiksha (power of endurance)
• Shradha (faith), and
• Samadhana (equanimity or one-pointedness of the mind)
This is what you must focus on increasing more in your life.

By enhancing these virtues, your capacity to receive blessings will increase. Among the four pillars of knowledge, the third one that has these six wealths, that is what we must increase. Also we must do Seva (service) and Sadhana (spiritual practices).

Bad company creates feverishness and obsession in you, brings in you more and more desires, more lust, anger and delusion. Then finally you find yourself in a big soup - so far from love. -

See, whatever you are to receive, you will surely get it, through someone or the other. When your Karma is such that you are to receive something in life, I tell you, even Lord Brahma or Ravana cannot come in the way of that. -Gurudev

You need to see your life in context of time and space- how vast creation is, how big the universe is and how small your life is, relative.

DROP YOUR SELF IMAGE

Kashiap : "How do you make everyone happy?"
Guruji : "Become me."
Rama : "How do we become you?"

What stands between you and me is your self image. Your self image restricts you from being me. Self image whether good or bad causes misery.

When you think good about yourself in a very subtle manner you think bad about others. Then anger, jealousy, hatred - everything follows.

When you think bad about yourself you feel low and again you start getting angry and you hate everyone else. If you think good about yourself you are in trouble and when you think bad about yourself you are in greater trouble.
So drop your self image.
