Description: Explore the benefits of yoga and meditation. Learn asanas and meditation basics. Take home a tailored one-hour daily practice routine by the end of the workshop. Suitable for beginners and for those who want to replenish their practice.
Turn up on the mat. Work hard. Sometimes in joy, other times in pain, still others in sorrow, yet others in confusion - but turn up; because practice is the only way out.
Going in is the only way out. Meditation extends the inward journey that begins with asana. All external journeys are illusory. Turn inward. Test the path of yoga and meditation and see for yourself. Buddha said “Ehipassiko!”
Practice and Dispassion cause the cessations of the turnings of the mind! Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra (1.12) identifies the core of the practice. Uninterrupted long term practice with detachment.
4 Noble Truths. Buddha framed his teachings in simple yet extremely deep truths of nature. Simple to understand and experience, yet so profound that it is impossible to reach the depths of the truths. One could say these truths were the only thing he taught. Each teaching in the form of suttas (sutras) point to these and elaborate one or multiple truths in detail.

Practice practice practice. There is sprays room for improvement. There is equal room for appreciation of current form. More than anything, there is gratitude for the opportunity to practice. There is much suffering out there. To be able to practice for some time without needing to do anything else is a luxury. Embrace it while you can. Live the practice.
