Story behind the image:
In the serene, golden hour of dusk, as the sun dipped below the horizon, I found myself on the tail end of a thrilling safari adventure in the heart of an Indian jungle. The atmosphere was infused with a palpable sense of anticipation, as our jeep convoy made its way back from a day filled with wildlife encounters. My camera poised, I managed to capture a mesmerizing image that would forever encapsulate the essence of our journey. As the jeeps traversed the rugged terrain, a mesmerizing scene unfolded before my lens. The dust, stirred up by the tires of the vehicles, swirled and billowed around us, creating a mesmerizing dance in the fading light. The setting sun, now a mere sliver on the horizon, cast a warm, amber glow over everything it touched. This gentle, golden hue transformed the swirling dust into a radiant spectacle. The particles in the air caught the sunlight, transforming into a shimmering tapestry that seemed to come alive with a life of its own. The jeeps, rugged and sturdy, forged ahead through this ethereal landscape, creating a stark contrast between the man-made and the wild. This image spoke volumes about the delicate balance between human presence and the untamed beauty of nature. It was a testament to the shared space we occupied with the magnificent creatures that roamed this Indian jungle. In this fleeting moment, the dust and sunlight merged in a dance of nature's creation, reminding us of the profound connection we share with the wilderness. It was a picture that transcended the boundaries of time, capturing the essence of our safari and the unique interplay between humanity and the wildlife of the Indian jungle.

As the sun began to cast its first golden rays on the morning of November 24th, the Bandhavgarh jungle from Khitauli gate came alive with anticipation and excitement as we embarked on the exhilarating task of tracking a majestic tiger. The crisp dawn air carried the scent of earth and foliage, heightening the senses. The rustling leaves and distant calls of exotic birds created a symphony of nature’s awakening. Each footprint left by the elusive feline felt like a clue in a thrilling mystery, leading me deeper into the heart of the lush wilderness. The anticipation built with every step, knowing that around the next bend or behind the curtain of foliage, the magnificent tiger could reveal itself, making this early morning adventure an unforgettable experience in the wild.The Majestic handsome Dhamokar male was a sight to behold.

Brown Bears are one of the largest bears, known for their impressive size and strength. They inhabit the remote Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia and have a diverse diet, ranging from fish and berries to small mammals.

The Majestic Skógafoss
Shot on iPhone 14 Pro on the recent Nov 2023 Toehold Iceland Photo Expedition tour.
Foss means water falls in Icelandic. This 25m wide and 60m high roaring falls of the Skógá River, actually means ‘Forest Falls’ though not much greenery was around.
Our group reached this falls late in the afternoon. Winters mean shorter days and it was getting dark. The biting cold and heavy clouds added to the gloom. I shot a whole bunch of wide angle long exposures with my mirrorless. Satisfied, I turned around to see our group already on its way back to our vehicle. I packed up my gear and was about to leave only to see the entire falls for myself. Lucky me I thought and started shooting a few more images and this time with my iPhone.
At this point, to my angst, this red shirt just randomly walked past me and stood bang in the middle of my frame. Then I realised the striking contrast that was presented in front of me. It ended up as my favourite image of this waterfall.
