Arka proudly announces its new series called SHYLI- The signature of technique and creativity.

ARKA KALA KUTEERA

TAAMARA DANCE COMPANY

SHYLI is a statement. It is a platform that celebrates the democracy to which we, as artists, are entitled. The art that is passed on for generations, pick something unique and beautiful from each school, each style and each artist. What we witness finally in this present is SHYLI: the nurtured, decorated and disciplined work of the artist and the school they present.

Our first-ever collaboration is with Shruthi Kezhakepuram Purushotham A Mohiniyattam artist with an extensive career as a dance performer, creator and mentor.
She will present a story based on her book “Mohini Made Friends,” followed by a series of unique performances of Mohiniyattam by students of Taamara and her.

Workshop - Story Telling with Hand Gestures
Learn the art of storytelling with hand gestures with two accomplished Indian classical dancers and published authors; Dr Pranitha Kamat, author at Natyachittra and Shruthi KP, author of Mohini made Friends. The 2-Day workshop will be conducted online. All participants will get one book for FREE and the other at 50% off.
