1. Areca palm (one of the best purifiers) - it absorbs harmful gases like Toluene, thus good for pregnant women and people with upper respiratory tract/ lung infections).
2. Corn plant - This is a good plant for smokers, nonsmokers, sick building syndrome, nasal congestion and sinusitis. Put 4 plants for 100- 200 sq. yard area.
3. Lady palm tree - This pest and insect resistant plant removes almost all harmful gaseous toxins like formaldehyde, ammonia and Toluene from air and is basically, an effectively against aerial cancerous chemicals.
4. Spider plant - This plant removes Carbon monoxide, formaldehyde and xylene from environment and is an excellent plant to be kept near kitchen, garage, sick people, Clinics and hospitals.
5. Dwarf date palm - This plant removes aerial chemicals including Formaldehyde very efficiently and adapts well in low light environment.
6. Boston fern - This plant removes air chemicals from wooden furniture, construction sites, paints, plastic, etc and is good for all those suffering from dryness of the skin, nose, eyes and throat.

Leaves of these plants must be wiped with a wet cloth periodically.

On this night, Mata Mahalaxmi and the moon are worshipped. The Moon is considered to be the King of herbs and the mind. The water, milk an rice are considered to be ruled by Moon in Astrology. For the 2 months of Sharad Ritu (Autumn season) the kheer or water charged with moonlight should be consumed in scientific manner to reduce Pitta disorders in the body. The people with kapha disorders, obesity, milk allergy and diabetics should consume kheer and charged water with caution.

1. Purnima tithi begins on 9 October 2022 at 3.41 am and lasts on 10 October at 2.25 am.
2. The rice kheer with small quantity of white pepper and silver rings should be kept in moonlight overnight or atleast 1-2 hours. The kheer should be eaten in Brahm muhurta next day as a prasadam of Mahalaxmi. Then a gentle walk for 3 km gives good health results.
3. Those looking for divine insight should meditate in the moonlight or perform tratak sadhna.

#कर्मयोगी का सच्चा अर्थ यह है कि हम अपना कर्म करें और फल की अपेक्षा (expectation) न करें, जिसको निष्काम कर्म कहा गया है।श्रीकृष्ण ने #श्रीमदभगवद्गीता के उपदेश में कहा है कि मनुष्य अपने कर्म के फल को निश्चित रूप से प्राप्त करता है और मनुष्य को अपने सही पथ पर चलना चाहिए और अन्याय सहन नहीं करना चाहिए।

कर्मयोगी अपने अहंकार (ego)और बंधनों (attachments)को तोड़कर मानवता की सेवा में अग्रसर होता है, बिना खुद के लिए अपेक्षा (expectation) किए। वह मानसिक और शारीरिक रूप से कर्म में ही प्रयत्नशील रहता है।

ऐसा करने से मनुष्य #दिव्यचेतना (divine consciousness) के साथ लय में आ जाता है जोकि सभी जीवों में समान रूप से वास करती है। बिना कर्म फल की इच्छा किए अपना कर्तव्य करने से मनुष्य एक संतुष्ट जीवन व्यतीत करता है और विमुक्त (liberated) महसूस करता है।वह अंतहीन इच्छाओं की ओर न भागकर जीवन को वैसे ही गले लगाता है, जैसा जीवन है। जन्माष्टमी का संदेश भी यही है की समाज में ख़ुशी की लहर और असीमित प्रसन्नता का संदेश।

The importance of Guru Purnima-

1. Birthday of Ved Vyasa- The Chiranjeevi sage, Maharishi Krishna Dwaipayana Vyasa or popularly known as Ved Vyas was born on the day of Ashadha Shukla Pakhsa Purnima. That is why the day is also known as Vyas Purnima. Maharshi Vedvyas blessed the human race with the divine knowledge of 4 Veda after dividing into 4 parts and naming them - Rigved, Samved, Yajurved and Atharvaved ; 18 puran, Brahmasutra, Shrimadbhagwat and legendary epic Mahabharat.

2. In Buddhist culture, it is believed that on this day, approximately 2500 years ago, Lord Buddha preached his first sermon at Sarnath after attaining "Bodhatava" or supreme knowledge/ salvation.

3. Jain Dharma- The 24rth Teethankar Mahavir Swami accepted Gautam Swami of Gandhar country as his disciple on this day So he became famous by the name Trinok Guha which means first Guru.

4. Guru- Shishya Parampara-

गुरु-शिष्य की एक परंपरा है, जिसमें गुरु के पीछे जुड़कर शून्य या नगण्य ( अ) भी विशिष्ट हो जाता है - गुरु +अ = गौरव।

This tradition dates back to Vedic era- about 5000 years back. Guru–shishya means "succession from guru to “ Parampara” means an uninterrupted row or series, order, succession, continuation, mediation, tradition. In the traditional residential form of education, the shishya remains with his or her guru as a family member and gets the education as a true learner. The guru guides his pupils on their path to knowledge and enlightenment. The relationship requires the shishya to be obedient and devoted to the guru.
