So here are some tips to cultivate this independent play. ✨⠀

1. Set up the right type of playspace⠀

2. Consider separating screens from playspace⠀

3. Don't overpower your child's play⠀
⠀
4. Create a space where they can be alone⠀
⠀
5. Have only age-appropriate toys on offer⠀

6. Examine your expectations⠀
⠀
7. Consider keeping them close to you⠀
⠀
8. Use storage that your child can manipulate⠀
⠀
9. Treat play as the natural birthright – not a chore or punishment⠀

10. Don't praise, comment or evaluate⠀

When your child is immersed in something, my number one rule is – Do not interrupt. 🤫⠀

Do not even make eye contact. 😎 Allow them that flow, allow them that concentration.⠀
