Eighteen nurses at a private hospital in Pune tested positive for Covid-19 on April 18, a doctor said on Sunday.

"A week ago, 600 of the medical staff were tested for coronavirus and out of these, 18 nurses have been tested positive," Dr Purvez Grant, Managing Trustee at Ruby Hall Clinic said.

Speaking exclusive to India Today TV, Dr Purvez Grant said that 18 nurses have tested positive but no one has any critical symptoms. It was 15 days back that his 3,500-member staff at Ruby Hally clinic was administered with Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ), he further said.

Purvez Grant said that by administering HCQ along with homeopathy, the complications in Covid-19 patients have reduced tremendously. "In fact, there are no complications in any of my patients. Homoeopathy and HCQ together have worked positively as all of the 18 nurses don't have respiration problem," he said.

Purvez Grant further said that homeopathy increases a person's immunity which helped them fight against viruses and bacteria. "So, combining the two -- allopathy and homeopathy -- we will be able to cure more and more coronavirus patients and this will be the correct line of treatment until the world finds a vaccine.

Homeopathy effective in prevention of novel coronavirus infections
The AYUSH ministry has issued a health advisory and recommended that homeopathic medicines could be effective in the prevention of novel coronavirus (nCoV) infections.

The advisory was issued following a meeting on Tuesday(28th Jan 2020) of the scientific advisory board of the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH) under the Ministry of AYUSH to discuss ways and means for prevention of the nCoV infection through homoeopathy

It has recommended that homoeopathic medicine Arsenicum album 30 could be taken empty stomach daily for three days as a prophylactic medicine against the infection. The dose should be repeated after one month by following the same schedule in case the nCoV infection prevails in the community
