Greetings on the occasion of Vijayadashmi!
On this auspicious day, we feel very proud to announce that Mr Nripraj Bhati, a third-year student at NLIU, had filed a PIL for the construction of a primary school in a village in his home district of Barmer. The government had already sanctioned the land and funds, but the land was encroached upon and the school was run in a hutment for the last 7 years. Nripraj successfully pursued his case as the petitioner, appeared in person, and secured a favourable order from the High Court of Rajasthan (Jodhpur Bench). The court lauded the efforts of Nripraj as being a law student he is passionate about his career and at the same time is vigilant & observant of happenings around him. We wish him luck for his future endeavours and hope that all the law students will get motivated to raise their voice against the injustices being caused to needy & weaker sections of society.
Keeping the ethos of the festival embedded in our value system, this inspirational story motivates us to fight against the evils which hamper the day-to-day growth of an individual. Furthermore, it also encourages us to keep our battles for the betterment of the needy selfless.
We pray that this auspicious day of Vijayadashmi brings victory to everyone striving hard in their lives and we hope for the well-being of humanity.
