'Handprint'

A painting made of water colours to depict a forest with trees and some butterflies sitting on the branches which are depicted through the fingers.
Its a painting which can easily be taught to kids and make their imagination run wild.

'Japanese War Fan' 🪭 or 'Tessen'

A Japanese fan crafted by me for home decor.

In ancient times they were used as symbols for peoples ranks in the society.They were also used as weapons.It was originally a fan made of iron which was used by the Samurai warriors during warfare.Several type of war fans were used for different purpose and had different looks.

Today however it is used for the most practical purpose i.e. to keep oneself cool during hot days by fanning oneself.

Faraway in the darkest woods lies a place of my desire...

Eerie is the air there with the moon shining bright..lost in these woods is the whirlpool of my thoughts....memories of childhood and memories of love....My.mind just wanders by and the trees keep gazing...Here I am all alone with my thoughts and desires....

"Elephant in the Ecosystem"

A drawing made by me for one of the painting competition organised by 'Nandan Kanan Zoological Park' located in Bhubaneswar.
This painting illustrates the Elephant in its natural ecosystem along with other animals.

Lets give the animals a pollution free air to breath.Lets leave our jungles as they are and stop cutting trees and their natural habitat.

Tried to depict the the Eternal Love Story of Radha and Krishna,the Indian deities who loved each other dearly but never ended up together yet they are always and forever in love with each other.

No Love is more pure then the Love of Radha and Krishna!!!

"Ardhanareeswara"

A depiction of epitome of power and grace. Ardhanareeswara represents the synthesis of the masuculine and feminine energies of the universe. It also shows how 'Shakti' the female version of God is inseparable from 'Shiva' the male version of God and vice versa.The union of these version is exalted as the root and womb of all creations.

Here I have tried to depict a lady lost in the strings of the musical instrument and a guy lost in thoughts playing the flute to the tunes of the tanpura and a curious little guy trying to gather it all in his eyes....while The Guru looks over at the master piece being created!!!

I call this "The Rhythm of the Soul".

Black as a DEVIL,Hot as Hell,Pure as an ANGEL,Sweet as LOVE....

And so.... The Angel fell in LOVE with the Devil!!!

Once there was an angel pure as the first drop of rain, innocent as the laughter of a baby, radiant as the first rays of the Sun.One day she saw a Devil as hot as hell,dark as the blackness of a moonless night, cunning as a slithering snake... somewhere somehow their eyes meg and TIME just melted away like Lava.Their hearts beat together now and the Devil is no longer completely dark neither is the Angel completely pure!!!
