COMPUTER LAB :

Computer Science is also introduced at class III standard and higher classes. To reinforce the spirit of learning and prepare students for global careers, school has two fully equipped computer labs (junior & senior). The computers are latest in configuration and are loaded with various operating systems, educational and other useful software. Internetis provided as per Department of computer science is the most living and up-to-date department of the school. To keep in pace with the recent developments in the field of science and technology, this department has taken all the hardships to train its students from class-III to XII. From class III to XII, students take this subject as SUPW and in std XI, XII this is taught as elective subject following the guidelines and curriculum of CBSE. As far as SUPW is concerned, the students are given training from basic of computer to the world of Internet. The computer department has about 100 computers. The school has two computer laboratories, one as junior lab meant for Class III to IX and another is Senior Lab meant for Class X to XII students along with one computer based office for its Staff belonging to this department. SCIENCE LAB :

PHYSICS:
The Physics department of the science stream of the school is a well-furnished one. The laboratory is scientifically equipped. "Excellence through practical reasoning" being the sole motto, students under the able guidance of the science teachers ,perform and prepare various models on day to day technological advancement, topics ranging from space to oil management and bring laurels to the school. In academics also the secondary and higher secondary students come out with flying colours with almost 100% result in various level board examinations. CHEMISTRY:
The Chemistry Department has been one of the most shining features of SSVM, Bhubaneswar. Since its establishment, It has brought many Laurels to this Institution. The dedicated faculty members are not only engrossed in imparting quality Education to the students but also engaged in encouraging, initiating, motivating and guiding the students. The Chemistry Laboratory of this School is well equipped so that twenty five young geniuses can conduct experiments at a time and with their practical knowledge they can take part in various Science Exhibition in school, State and National level. BIOLOGY:

Students need motivation to learn. Involving students in project is a great way of getting them involved in real life experiential learning. The motive behind these projects is to nurture and nourish the young talent through these types of creative projects. Various projects were undertaken in the session 2009-10 by the students in the subjects like 1) Science (2) Social Science (4) English (5) Mathematics (6) Odia (7) Hindi (8) Sanskrit (9) Art on 16th Oct' 2009. Through all these projects the School aims to inculcate the spirit of experimentation and collaboration there by instilling a positive approach towards life and human race. Every year within the school premises internal competitions are held for the students in the games and sports to facilitate to join in the District and State level competitions through the Bhubaneswar School Athletic Association. Our school is giving special coaching from 4:00 pm – 5:15 pm every day to the interested students. Provision for training facilities for football, volleyball, Badminton, Kabaddi, Kho Kho, Table Tennis etc. Every year the school represents in the State level and National level competitions. The School Library, well equipped with books on all subjects is in the service of the students and staff. The latest books on all subjects are procured and made available for use. A specially designed Reading Room which provides for separate enclosure for each student to enable him/her to have brush with the great authors is a unique feature of the school. The Library is open till 5.00 p.m. on every working day including vacations.
•Books will be issued through the student's diary only •A fine of Rs.1.00 per day will be charged if the book is not returned by the due date.
• In case loss or damage of the book, double the cost of the book along with the fines accrued will be collected from the student.
