Glimpses from the 4th National Agribusiness Konclave 2023:
Prof. Sasmita Samanta, Hon’ble VC madam quoted:
‘Happy to address at the 4th National Agribusiness Konclave organized by KIIT School of Rural Management on the theme ‘Feeding the Future: Innovations and Trends in Indian Agriculture and Food Sector’
I thank Mr. Anilkumar SG, Founder & CEO, Samunnati and all the dignitaries for joining us at the Agribusiness Konclave on the theme ‘Feeding the Future: Innovations and Trends in Indian Agriculture and Food Sector’
Human existence is dignity and it's meant for happiness. Every effort that we put or any developmental goal or any planning strategy starts with food security. Making sure people always have physical, social, and financial access to enough, safe, and nourishing food for an active and healthy life is the primary responsibility of mankind. If we carefully examine the Sustainable Goals, we will see that everything-starting from developmental goals, and planning to strategies begins with food security. With the same ideology and beliefs, KISS was built and has been an emblem that emphasizes on uplifting the tribal community not only with education but also by providing children with proper nutrition and clothing thus, bringing them to the mainstream.
Self-reliance has been a prominent policy and economic goal set by our Hon’ble Prime Minister of India. The self-reliance initiatives have been focusing on key sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, technology and healthcare. The goal is to strengthen these sectors to make India less dependent on external sources. Amalgamation of technology and agriculture can help disseminate best practices and innovative technologies among farmers. With the applications of AI profitability and accessibility, the productivity of farmers can be significantly enhanced.
The vitality of our young people and the demographic dividend have been the driving forces behind the prosperity of our nation. And as a result, the entire world looks to us as a place of peace, learning, and development, as well as for the models that this nation is creating for the advancement of humanity. I encourage all students majoring in agribusiness to be aware of their obligations since they will be carrying out an important social responsibility.
I wish every student to contribute to the development of humanity and I hope your academic journey is successful.’
Wishing a very Happy Engineers Day to all those smart minds who are constantly exploring the opportunities to create something new, for a better life.

Glimpses from the 4th National Rural Management Konclave 2023:
Prof. Sasmita Samanta, Hon’ble VC madam addresed at the 4th National Rural Management Konclave organized by KIIT School of Rural Management on the theme ‘Women Empowerment, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainable Rural Development’
‘The School Rural Management was started in 2007 by our Hon’ble Founder for the community to understand the people and to bring their issues to the university campus. The beauty lies in its legacy and we wish the students would pursue it further. The University and the education system were filled with urban assets and there seems to be a need to include the culture of the rural sector into studies. The thought was to give it a direction that knowledge, excellence and technology should be inclusive and that educational institutions are the best platform to serve the cause. Both KISS and KIIT proudly educate 40000 students individually and we take pride in holistically touching all sectors of the economy equally with education. Hence, the objective is to have inclusive growth and develop models that should stand tall in the globe. In order for equitable growth to take place in this nation, the knowledge acquired from various schools has to be transmitted to the rural people.
Even though secondary school dropout rates may be rising, efforts are being undertaken worldwide to understand the cause and work around solutions. We have been preparing ourselves accordingly as we are aware that the globe is looking towards our country with different perspectives since everybody realized how goal-based, systematic and positively we handled the COVID pandemic. Now, India is a place for diversity, a place where knowledge is valued, a place that scales up to the need and a place that understands humanity as religion. Therefore, the entire world is looking forward to our immaculate democratic approach.
I expect that all of our students will engage in the academic and research activities of the institution with passion & compassion and perform to the best of their abilities.’
Prof. Sasmita Samanta addressed at the inaugural ceremony of MBA program for the Batch 2023–25 at NMIET B-School:
She quoted:
‘First of all, I want to express my sincere thanks to Prof. S. P. Dash, Director of Academics at NMIET B-School as well as to the entire NMIET group for inviting me to the opening ceremony of the MBA program for the Batch 2023–25.
We can now clearly see how swiftly technology is developing. It was created to make people's lives easier, but now that it has advanced, it is capable of outperforming human intelligence. The human heart, feelings, compassion, brain and its cognitive capacities and reactions to the world, however, in my opinion, cannot be taken over by technology because knowledge is the basis of everything.
The words "human mind, emotions, and compassion" have become central concepts in management education. While we claim that because of generative AI, there have been significant upheavals in academia. However, given how the management courses are structured, the interruptions might not be on that scale. In order to incorporate all disciplines, including technology, management education was created with a broader perspective. Since the beginning, management studies have been designed with a focus on encouraging young people's inventions and creativity with creating opportunities for other professionals. We are now able to see that management study is constantly evolving. It was mostly entrepreneurship and creativity before, then innovations, and today it is empathy, compassion and humanity. That is the core principle of management studies that everyone should keep in mind. In my view, when we contribute to the greater good of humanity as a whole, we naturally take the lead without any competition and become the leader. All students who are pursuing management degrees or who want to work in the field will consequently inevitably take on leadership roles.
The idea of moving from business to society has evolved throughout time. We can now observe that every firm and every process strives to implement the "society to the business" notion. In this way, the company can be viewed as a single human institution, the products and services should be human-centric, and requirements should come from society to the business to solve societal issues. The corporate landscape and global economy are evolving constantly. It doesn't revolve just around profits and jobs rather it is more societal and human-centered. With the aid of numerous efforts and initiatives by the state and national government, everyone can now become entrepreneurs and create jobs.
I believe each and everyone possesses a spark, we only need to be able to recognize it. Our Hon'ble Founder, who founded KIIT & KISS, is one such example who has tirelessly worked to progress society through education and changed the lives of many. Students from KIIT and KISS are making us all and the nation proud by holding different responsibilities and qualifying for different sports and events around the globe.
Everyone can grow and do wonders; it is our civic responsibility to learn how to handle these duties, how to advance with confidence and how to set an example for the world. I urge the students to create possibilities for themselves and other people rather than just get employment and get a job. I wish every student luck in their academic endeavors and look forward to their hard work in advancing society!’

Glimpses from the regional S20 event on the theme ‘Nurturing Science, Technology and Innovation Ecosystem for Sustainable Development’ held at KIIT-DU:
Prof. Sasmita Samanta, Hon’ble VC quoted:
‘I thank Prof. Ashutosh Sharma, President-INSA & Former Secretary, Dept. of Science and Technology, Govt. Of India and all the dignitaries for joining us at the regional S20 event on the theme ‘Nurturing Science, Technology and Innovation Ecosystem for Sustainable Development’.
I would like to start by congratulating everyone on the fantastic accomplishment of India landing on the moon. As we commemorate this nation on the moon, we are all celebrating the fact that it is leading the world in the fields of science, technology, health care, economy and whatnot. With much curiosity about how our nation is developing and what the secret is, the entire globe is watching us. Maybe in the upcoming years, this will be the subject of global research.
We have all heard from the national leadership numerous times about how this nation is committed to the advancement of science and technology. If we take a look at this country's budget for the previous year, we can see that science and technology have received the most attention out of all the sectors. Undoubtedly, the accomplishment of ISRO is one of the world's most notable, but along with it, science and technology have made many strides.
When discussing the Sustainable Development Goals, it is essential to note that all of the UN's Sustainable Development objectives revolve around eradicating poverty. Since its foundation, KIIT has worked to create a sustainable world by offering opportunities to those in the state and nation deprived of their intellectual goals. This has all been made possible by our illustrious founder, Prof. Achyuta Samanta. Making education inclusive, and taking innovations to each and every level of the society was his goal in addition to providing high-quality education. And with that focus, KISS was established which changed the lives of lakhs of indigenous people in the state as they got the chance to acquire knowledge and become a part of the mainstream.
Any work done for the benefit of people with an optimistic mindset and a different perspective is acknowledged as having a positive impact on the world. And with that, I'd also like to give all the students and researchers the following advice: Always bear in mind that every innovation should help people and improve humanity as a whole.
I wish all our students to be global leaders and work toward the advancement of the society. I wish all the very best to everyone. Let's create, set and innovate for tomorrow.’
A proud moment for all of us. Chandrayaan-3 has landed on the moon successfully.
Many congratulations to all the dedicated scientists at ISRO for turning this dream into reality. India is now at the forefront of space exploration, proud to witness this historic moment.

Due to the NEP, every domain and field is examined closely, comprehensively and judicially. We will advance further by collaborating across domains and integrating subjects in cross-functional ways. Considering the University provides a platform to bring out the best abilities of the students, it's the foremost duty of the students to extract the nectar of excellence from the researchers and faculty members. Wishing everyone a Happy International Youth's Day. At KIIT, everyday something new is being created to provide services to human beings and youth. The broad purpose of KIIT and KISS is to enrich the culture and built the gamut towards a progressive society. In our University we don't only educate students but we are also engaged in the human development process to build the generation of the future. We make sure our students inculcate themselves with becoming socially sensible and socially responsible. All students at KIIT are engaged in various social projects, which allows them to invest some time thinking of potential solutions to help the world succumb to issues. A few of the fundamental tenets of the Sustainable Development Goals that this university also emphasizes are:
-No matter what field we are in, must always be committed to advancing human welfare.
-It is important for us to take part in activities that will make the world a happier and more prosperous place.
-Consciousness should be there for the planet
-To create a fair and just society, we should take whatever action is necessary.
Poverty is the biggest pollutant in the globe and wit its eradication, we can establish a peaceful and just society. We all know that education is the most powerful tool to eradicate poverty, Equality, diversity and inclusive opportunity policy. By housing students from 65 different nations, KIIT has additionally assisted in propagating the state's culture to those 65 countries.
-Partnerships to promote internalization and exposure abroad.
The students at KIIT enter the campus with ambitions, and we help them to rework on their aspirations so they can achieve their goals.
I wish all the best to all the NSS students who are committed to contributing to society and are working towards the betterment of the human race. We can have the world we are dreaming about if we can make a small connection with each and every problem and cultivate empathy with it and for that, our NSS students should work hard and become role models in today's society.’
