A capacity building programme on women agripreneurship through livestock and fisheries technologies was organized on 27 December 2022 at ICAR-Central Institute for Women in Agriculture under the project “Development of women entrepreneurship in livestock and fisheries sector for promoting gender equity and strengthening livelihood”.
A campaign on cleaning of sewerage and water lines, awareness on recycling of wastewater, and water harvesting for agriculture/ horticulture application/kitchen gardens was organized on 28 December 2022 in the residential campus of ICAR-CIWA.
Awareness of waste management and utilization of organic wastes/ generation of wealth from waste, polythene-free status, and composting of kitchen and home waste materials was done in the residential area of ICAR-CIWA, Bhubaneswar on 27th December 2022.
CIWA, Bhubaneswar organized essay writing and drawing competitions on 26th December 2022 in the MGMG village, Haladiapada, Kanas of Puri district for fostering healthy competition. The theme of the competition was "Swachha Bharat".
CIWA conducted Swachhata campaign and sanitization programme at Community market place, Tarini Haat, Bharatpur, Kalinga studio square, Bhubaneswar. The vegetable vendors, shop keepers and Bhubaneswar municipality workers were assembled in the marketplace.
On 24.12.2022, Farm women of the village Athantara, Balipatna, were explained the importance and objective of Swachhata Pakhwada and appreciated for the development of their village as a Model “Swachha Village”.
As a part of celebration, the scientific method of making vermicompost was demonstrated by Mr. Manoranajn Prusty, Technical Officer & In Charge Farm at the Vermicompost unit of the Institute on 22 dec. A debate competition on the topic “ Swachata se Sashaktata” also organised.
Those who have kitchen garden were encouraged for recycling of waste water to maximum extend on 21 dec. All the residents as well as farm workers participated in the cleaning of sewerage and water lines of the research farm to ensure smooth flow of the sewage water.
A special cleanliness drive cm sanitation awareness campaign was organized on (20-12-2022) in the MGMG adopted villages of Sankilo and Tentalpur under Nischintakoili block in Cuttack district of Odisha.
Stock taking of biodegradable and non-biodegradable disposed waste was undertaken. The lawn, orchard, experimental and demonstration plots, technology block and women farmer’s hostel have been cleaned and provided the solutions to the field workers.
As part of the 'Swachhata Pakhwada' campaign, on 18 dec waste from residential quarters, Office and Canteen kitchen was properly segregated and disposed off in bins
As part of the 'Swachhata Pakhwada' campaign, under basic maintenance works, stock taking on digitization of office records/ e-office implementation, cleaning of offices, corridors, and premises were reviewed and necessary work was undertaken at ICAR-CIWA.
As a part of Swachhata Pakhwada, ICAR-CIWA, Bhubaneswar celebrated Kisan Diwas on 23 December 2022 at Mangarajpur village of Kujanaga block Jagatsinghpur district where about 80 farm women participated in the programme.

A field day on Composite Carp Farming” was organized on 8th December 2022 at Village Dubuduba, Satyabadi Block, Puri District adopted under Institute project “Development of nutri smart villages for food security and dietary diversity for combating malnutrition” by ICAR- Central Institute for Women in Agriculture, Bhubaneswar.
World Soil Day was celebrated at ICAR-Central Institute for Women in Agriculture, Bhubaneswar to create awareness among the farm women for maintaining soil health for sustainable agriculture production.

Celebrated Women in Agriculture Day on 4th December, 2022 at Gopabandhu Daridra Narayan Sevashrama Sangha of Talapatna village, Sakhigopal. More than 100 farm women from nearby villages participated in the programme.
A Workshop-cum-Capacity Building Programme on Mechanization for Farm Women through WFPOs was organized under the Schedule Caste Sub Plan Programme (SCSP) by ICAR-Central Institute for Women in Agriculture, Bhubaneswar, Odisha on 30 November, 2022 in MGMG adopted villages under Nischintakoili block of Cuttack district of Odisha.

ICAR-CIWA , Bhubaneswar organized a Demonstration cm Training Programme at Sagada village, Nimapada Block, Puri District of Odisha on 18th November, 2022 under the project “Design and Development of Gender Sensitive Integrated Vertical Nutri-farming System (IVNFS) for Household Nutrition and Income”.
A demonstration programme on establishment of homestead nutrition garden was organized on 11th November 2022 at Sriramchandrapur village, Puri District under the NICRA CGC funded project on ‘Gender responsive Integrated Homestead Aqua-horticulture (GRIHA): a Sustainable Climate Resilient Approach towards Livelihood Diversification’.
As per the instruction of Central Vigilance Commission and Indian Council of Agriculture and Research, New Delhi, ICAR-CIWA, Bhubaneswar observed the Vigilance Awareness Week-2022 from October 31st to 6th November, 2022 with a theme of 'Corruption free India for a Developed Nation' (भ्रष्टाचार मुक्त भारत- विकसित भारत).
