Last Sunday activities at Unmukt
Unmukt Wall magazine of June month is out!!
Do you know that we have a "Red Gang" at Unmukt?
We hold menstrual sessions with Unmukt girls, boys, and their parents as well. We involve boys in these sessions to help them understand their female friends, sisters, and mothers better, so they can provide support and develop empathy towards them.
Thank you and .07.02 for making this beautiful red gang poster and giving this cool name!
Unmukt kids are getting ready for monsoon!!

What is happening here? Why Children are looking so curious?
Oh! It's a storytelling class!! On of the favourite classes where we all travel from our world to the other worlds.
We get so occupied on ground that we don't get time to update online. Here are few photos of our Sunday classes with a promise to be more regular.
You can also help us in it by joining us to handle social media.
"I'm a teacher, I don't need to learn anything."
When we asked teachers about their learning goals for this year, they began talking about their students' goals. We emphasized the importance of their own learning, but there was a moment of silence before one of the teachers said, "I'm a teacher, I don't need to learn." Only two others were able to hesitantly share what they wanted to learn this year.
We can get so busy with life and teaching others that we forget how important it is to continue learning ourselves. You can't pour water from an empty jug, and if you try, it will make noise and hurt you. This is one reason why teachers may become bitter towards their students. Learning is a constant process, and we must all continue to learn throughout our lives, especially teachers, who educate so many children.
There are many skills that teachers can focus on, from mental health to keeping up with rapidly changing technology and bringing new ideas into the classroom. Children will also be happy to learn new things.
As the saying goes, "Give me six hours to chop down a tree, and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe." Let's not forget to sharpen our axes, my friends.
Weekend library class at Munda Sahi community.
Computer class at Unmukt
3 days - 300 children have learnt the art of making natural colours and took pledge to use natural colours this Holi and teach it to at least 2 of their friends!
Our goal is to reach 1000 children and through them create a repeal effect to spread true colours Holi!!
Let's take a moment to appreciate the beauty of nature.
Raise your voice for the beauty of nature at our open mic event! Join us as we celebrate the wonders of the natural world through poetry, song, and spoken word. Let's come together to spread awareness and inspire action for the preservation of our planet.
Kuchh masti, kuchh padhayi!
you inspire us to dream big, to work hard everyday and follow discipline! Thank you for inspiring so many lives!
Many congratulations Triptimayee for winning various awards in sports event and Susajjit for the best volunteer at their school!!!
Kids remember that real winning is with yourself, becoming better version of yourself everyday, and helping others to co-excel... Celebrating your win and your peers too!
Lots of love Children!
Thank you for felicitating for our work in the environment. We feel humble and full of gratitude.
*Be A Santa*
Did you know that because of you, Our Santa, 250+ children of Bhubansewar’s marginalized communities were able to read more than 1500 books!!!! This year, we want to reach 500 or more children!
Among the myriad things that interest children, they love to read story books, art, and play! Sadly, they do not have access to quality books in their mother language and a safe space to explore their creativity and learn new things. Unmukt creates Amaa Kritishaalaa (our creative library) within communities at their doorstep to provide quality books and improve their learning.
Build an Amaa Kritishaalaa - a library of quality books and a creative safe space that nourishes young minds with curiosity, knowledge, and the powers of imagination.
Remember, no act of kindness however small is ever wasted! Donate a gift and spread the gift of knowledge. A gift that creates a lasting effect.

Doubts, questions, explorations, experiential... As year is closing Unmukt is doing extra classes to clear the doubts and bridge the learning gaps.
We all have a child inside. Keep that child alive!
#2022
Co-create and co-excel. Two of the core values of Unmukt where we all learn together and help each other to grow.
Here a few Unmukt children are helping other kids who missed the class or didn't understand the concept well. In this way they're also reinforcing their learnings and indirectly learning the art of teaching, patience, compassion and helping.
We need laptops.
Our children are learning basics of computer and coding on laptop. If you have an old but in good working condition or spare laptop then please donate.
Currently we have only 4 working laptops and more than 30 children who want to learn it.
Your laptop can help us to give them access of the essential digital education.
Week 57 done!
Regular physical activity is not only good for muscles and bones, it helps to keep brain healthy, too!
It improves cognitive health- helping you think, learn, problem-solve, and enjoy an emotional balance.
In a study done at the University of British Columbia, researchers say one new case of dementia is detected every four seconds globally. Exercise helps memory and thinking through both direct and indirect means. The benefits of exercise come directly from its ability to reduce insulin resistance, reduce inflammation, and stimulate the release of growth factors—chemicals in the brain that affect the health of brain cells, the growth of new blood vessels in the brain, and even the abundance and survival of new brain cells.
Indirectly, exercise improves mood and sleep, and reduces stress and anxiety. Problems in these areas frequently cause or contribute to cognitive impairment.
