We are a couple who moved to Goa to follow their heart and started this homestay + dinner as we love to host people.

Have you ever travelled to the small bylanes of old city area of any North Indian state. If you have then you will have a memory of the server speaking the menu by rote learning, like a machine…. “Chicken Tikka, Chicken malai tikka, Chicken burra, Tandoori Chicken, Lahori tawa chicken……”and the list goes on. While these tikka dishes sound similar but in reality the only similarity is that they are all chicken dishes. In our kitchen, like in many other kitchens who have been cooking these for generations, each tikka dish is made with hand picked and hand ground masalas specific to that dish. Each tikka is cooked precisely on the right coal temperature that it needs to extract the maximum juice. Each tikka dish is marinated differently and finished differently. The popularity and the ease of availability of North Indian tikka dishes has somehow taken away the attention it deserves from all the During our small journey of making tikkas everyday we can assure you that it requires a different level of patience and focus to understand tikkas and to get them right. So next time you take a bite of any chicken tikka just close your eyes and feel the flavours in your mouth, the crusty top with soft and juicy inside all mixed well in different tones of spices. And if you choose to try them at Chapter Two, then you will not go disappointed. 😊

Are you a vegetarian in Goa, struggling with where to eat…… just drop by at Chapter Two. Our menu does not have vegetarian dishes because one needs to have it on the menu but we are very proud of our simple home like dishes on our menu that are a soul meal and a go to food for a lot of us. The very classic and the most loved Indian Chicken starter - TANDOORI CHICKEN brought to you with love from us. By now you would know that we at Chapter Two are not very fond of dry tikkas, so like all other chicken tikkas, our Tandoori Chicken is also wrapped with thick masalas that add to the charred yet juicy chicken flavours. Slow Cooked perfectly well in a medium hot tandoor, this tandoori chicken will surely get your mouth watering just by the look of it. Drop by at Chapter Two to take a sinful bite of this chicken starter and trust us you will lick the whole plate clean 😊

Sometimes it’s tastier to look at a dish before plating it. This beautifully chargrilled tikka is being tossed in its final mix right before we plate it. Our love, our strength, our pride and our best seller - Our Super soft, melting in your mouth kind Mutton Galawati Kebab. We cannot say anything more than just that you have to have to have to come and try these beauties. Like all our other dishes even our Galawati Kebab is not the flag bearer of an authentic recipe but it is our humble take on this subtle and nuanced flavoured dish. We like to believe that our version of Laal Maas carries the essence of humble hospitality and preserved cultures of the stunning state of Rajasthan that we have experienced in our travel. Bhuna Gosht…. We often say in our kitchen that this dish is quite symbolic of our lives. Simmer the heat and slow cook for long such that maximum flavours are released and the meat is cooked till its full potential but be careful to not burn it….

Oh it has been such a pleasure cooking in our outdoor kitchen these days. Pouring rain around you, gushing winds through the crackling coal grill and the subtle hint of kebabs cooking in the tandoor. Ufff… it’s gorgeous.

A creamy affair called Butter Chicken…. this dish which was accidentally made in a kitchen has now become one of the most popular dishes in North Indian cuisine. Well now it takes a lot more than an accident to create it and to satiate the taste of butter chicken lovers. In our kitchen this is made with tandoori chicken put in a silky gravy of tomatoes, onions, a mix of ginger garlic and a nut paste. It is finished with ample butter and cream and NO IT IS NOT SWEET!!!

A simple home style alu pyaaz paratha is our new entry in the breakfast menu. Made with whole wheat flour and desi ghee with as much love as our mothers used to make it for us. Have it with a hot adrak ki cutting chai that we make and give a soul filling start to a beautiful monsoon day. See you at Chapter Two then!

Hello All,
Thank you for showing your love and support to Chapter Two. We have worked from pillar to post and thanks to your love have grown from an idea to a reality. We believe that if we put in 100% of our effort and heart in our food, it shall remain consistent and we would love to achieve that next.

We as a team have collectively decided to carry out a small informed experiment. From the next week onwards we are going to be a 5 day working kitchen.
Our service will include Breakfast Lunch and Dinner from 8:00 AM to 11:30 PM from Thursday to Monday.
We hope to be better rejuvenated with these revised working hours and focus on life beyond work during our weekend. We aim to create Chapter Two as a memorable experience for all our customers and also a healthy workplace for our teammates.

Mutton Qorma - a dish that truly represents the poetry Mughal cuisine. With mild aromatic spices, this dish is soft in its flavours and simple in it’s texture. It is unbelievable how these recipes have travelled through generations and have been able to maintain their soul. It is the practice of cooking these recipes in simple households that have helped us document a cultural heritage.
With many many years of improvisation and umpteen forces to influence a dish, we are not sure whether to pursue the idea of authenticity but we at Chapter Two are inspired by the humble home kitchens of old Delhi and our Mutton Qorma is an ode to all those who made this dish so effortlessly, for the love of cooking.

Simple recipes that are made in every second home have the strength to satiate your soul along with your hunger. Chana Masala is one such dish that finds its place in every North Indian kitchen atleast once a week if not more. Every member of the family has their way of eating it, either with ghee chupda phulka or paratha or with hot steamed rice. Aahaa! On a breezy summer afternoon, sitting in front of desert cooler and having chana masala with rice and a tall glass of chilled chaas is our memory of this dish. Would love to know what’s yours.

We at Chapter Two do not make this dish in any other way than all those home kitchens. The only thing to remember is to make it with a lot of love and top it with a dollop of desi ghee. 😊

This journey of hosting people to live with us has been exceptionally insightful in many aspects. Once you are charmed by the beauty of the space you get to live in and are attuned to the sounds of nature around, what’s left to cherish is the human connect. We were a group of people who did not understand the other ones language, yet, were able to cook together in peace and have a wonderful breakfast with broad smiles and happy tummies.

Working in a hot kitchen is not an easy cup of tea. And ours is a bit too hot to handle 😁
This one is for all those people who spend their lives around such hot equipments to ensure good food reaches our plates. As a consumer we were so reluctant of the sheer effort that goes while working around hot flames, grills and tandoor. The romance in the idea of going to old Delhi and eating from legendary hole in the wall kind of places is separate than acknowledging the skill that is literally honed through generations with innumerable burns and injuries, all for a plate of meat.
At no point we are comparing ourselves with generation old kitchens by showing a pretty picture but we are deeply inspired by those who do this day in and day out. Kudos and more power to them :)
