Asherman syndrome is a rare condition where scar tissue forms inside the uterus. This scar tissue can cause the uterus to become smaller and can block the fallopian tubes. This can make it difficult to get pregnant.
There is no one cause of Asherman syndrome. It can be caused by surgery, such as a dilation and curettage (D&C), or by an infection.
Symptoms of Asherman syndrome can include:
*Abnormal menstrual bleeding, such as light periods or no periods at all
*Pelvic pain
*Difficulty getting pregnant (infertility)
Asherman’s syndrome is treated with surgery to remove scar tissue (adhesions) inside the uterus. The most common procedure is HYSTEROSCOPY, which uses a thin, lighted scope inserted into the va**na and cervix to view the inside of the uterus. During hysteroscopy, surgical instruments are used to cut the adhesions.
Other treatments for Asherman’s syndrome may include:
* Hormone therapy with estrogen to help the uterine lining grow back after surgery
* Antibiotic therapy to prevent infection after surgery
In some cases, a balloon may be placed in the uterus for a short time after surgery to help keep the cavity open while the lining heals.
The success of treatment for Asherman’s syndrome depends on the severity of the condition. In many cases, surgery can improve fertility and menstrual function.

LTAC (Laparoscopic TRANSABSOMINAL cerclage) is a surgical procedure performed to help women with cervical insufficiency carry a pregnancy to term. Cervical insufficiency, also known as incompetent cervix, is a condition where the cervix weakens and opens too early during pregnancy, which can lead to miscarriage or premature birth.
LTAC is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that is performed through small incisions in the abdomen. During the procedure, a synthetic suture is placed around the cervix to help support it and prevent it from opening too early.
LTAC is typically performed on women who have had:
*Two or more second-trimester pregnancy losses
*A failed transva**nal cerclage (a type of cerclage placed through the va**na)
*A very short cervix

Isthmocele or cesarean scar defect ,is a pouch like defect at the scar site in patients with cesarean section and menstrual blood gets trapped inside a uterine isthmocele.
Patients presents with secondary infertility,postmenstural spotting,Dysmenorrhoea and chronic pelvic pain ,placental abnormalities , scar dehiscence, uterine rupture, and cesarean scar ectopic pregnancy may also appear as complications .
