Going to slums just for the bright smiles of my students is the best part of my job. Despite coming from a less privileged background, their determination to learn and achieve something in their lives, makes them stand out among the crowd. Yes, they fall; yes, they get hurt, but each time they get up, with a renewed sense of purpose – to fight for a better future for themselves and their families. Their journey is awe-inspiring and inspires me to do better for them.

With dreams in their eyes and notebooks by their side, these underprivileged children are all ready and is looking forward to having regular access to quality education.

Born to daily wage labourers who work with the hope of having a fixed amount at the end of the day, these little children are determined to never give up on education. I consider them as my own deep within my heart and I wish this relationship carries me as far as it can go.

In my class, all my students are from families that struggle for the basic needs on a daily basis. Forget about shoes, some of them do not even have proper clothes. But they all have a big heart and curious mind.

They are very devoted towards their studies. If one of them gets sick, the entire class goes up to her/his place to visit. They might not have food for themselves, but they never forget to offer others. They are like a big family. I leave no chance in helping them realise their dreams! 😊
