On the occasion of 10th International Day of Yoga. celebrated in 450 Anganwadi centres along with beneficiaries. *tchandigarh

For strengthening Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE).*“Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi”* Training Programme was organised for the 427 anganwadi workers in 9 batches (50 AWW in per batch) from (8th May to 14th June, 2024).

On the occasion of , awareness about environmental conservation was raised. People were aware about the importance of , creating compost from fruit and vegetable scraps, importance of planting trees. Tree plantation was carried out at Vatika. The event concluded with an oath to ♻️ .

Department of Social Welfare, Women and Child Development organized Rural Election Mela at Composite Anganwadi Building Bapu Dham for the upcoming General Sabha, 2024.

Mehandi Corner, Face Painting corner and bangle corner were prepared in the building where beneficiaries were made aware about the importance of casting of their valuable vote. T-shirts were distributed to the first time Voters for encouraging them to cast their vote.

A Shiksha Choupal event was organized at Manimajra Town to spread awareness about , and lecturer was given on the Importance of 1000 Days and Balanced Diet was organized in Sector 52, Anganwadi Circle, Chandigarh.

"Amma ki Rasoi" event was organized at Maloya Circle, in which traditional millets base recipe nutritious food was prepared by beneficiaries and Anganwadi workers spread awareness about kitchen gardening.

An event was conducted in Anganwadi Building, Sector 24, for making healthy dishes with millets, vegetables, and fruits. The beneficiaries also exchanged experience and recipes on how to make these healthy dishes.

To spread awareness about nutrition and the diversity of food, a "Rainbow Thali" event was organized at Ramdarbar Circle, and a health checkup camp was also organized at Industrial Area Anganwadi Circle for SAM and MAM children.

An event to promote breastfeeding techniques and antenatal checkup was organized in the Mauli colony anganwadi building. Moreover a Godhbharai and kids fancy dress competition was organized at the Dadumajra colony anganwadi center.

Khelo aur padho event was organised at kaimbwala in kajheri circle and a traditional millets base recipe contest between pregnant and lactating mothers was organized in Bapudham Anganwadi building to promote nutritious diets.

An event Shiksha Choupal was organized at RC Dhanas-II Anganwadi center to promote ECCE learning.

Under the Poshan Pakhwada 2024, a series of events were organized at the anganwadi centers in Chandigarh. Events included a drawing competition on malnutrition, a lecture on the importance of breastfeeding, and an indigenous toy-making workshop. These initiatives aimed to raise awareness about nutrition, maternal health, and child development within the community.

"On the inauguration of POSHAN Pakhwada 2024, Pledge Ceremony was conducted by AWWs.

The ceremony was organized in our 450 centers. The main objective of the oath was ensuring that girls are born, loved and nurtured to become equal and empowered citizens of the country, apart from emphasizing on girl-child education and eliminating social evils like s*x selection and gender discrimination in society.

On the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas, many activities were organized in the 450 Anganwadi centers. The event was aimed at paying tribute to the courage and sacrifice of the four Sahibzadas. During the event healthy refreshments were distributed to children to make them posh*t balak balika..

In U.T chandigarh orientation workshop are being organised from 02.12.2023 to 14.12.2023 regarding protocol for Management of Malnutrition among childrens. Approx 450 Anganwadi Workers trained by experts from PGIMER, Chandigarh.
This protocol will help to Anganwadi Workers to conduct appetite test of childrens to eradicate Malnutrition.

During the closing day of the one-month Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2023 celebration, a cleanliness drive was organized in various Anganwadi Centres and Buildings of Circle 25 i.e. , Circle Dadumajra, Circle Burail, Industrial Area Manimajra Town Circle, Circle 52, along with Vikas Nagar Circle, Circle Ramdarbar, Maloya Circle, RC Dhanas ll, Kajheri Circle & Bapudham Circle.

The drive was aimed at raising awareness about hygiene and sanitation in our surroundings. Maintaining cleanliness will also help in eliminating the chance of illnesses such as anaemia and diarrhoea. Proper handwashing techniques, safe hygiene tips, and personal sanitation directions were shared among the beneficiaries.

A very effective cleanliness drive was organized in the Vikas Nagar Circle under the 6th Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2023. The event was a huge success with around 72 active beneficiaries that participated.

They were educated about the illnesses and diseases that are born due to unhygienic situations around us. Furthermore, it also focused on the importance of segregation of garbage into wet and dry for better management.
