ENACTUS SSBUICET PANJAB UNIVERSITY conducted a workshop on Financial Literacy and Healthcare on January 25, 2024 , at Nayagaon.
The guest speaker, Professor Monika Aggarwal, Director of UIAMS, Panjab University, shared her expertise in financial literacy. The workshop provided practical insights into managing finances wisely. Simultaneously, Dr. Asha Katoch addressed the workshop on menstrual health and hygiene.
Prof. Seema Kapoor, Faculty Advisor Enactus Panjab University, highlighted the significance of hosting the event on Republic Day.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from the Nayagaon community along with the Enactus Panjab University members and volunteers, eager to enhance their understanding of financial management and healthcare practices.

Enactus SSBUICET wishes you all a very happy new year filled with success and happiness and hopes you will all work towards the betterment of society with more enthusiasm this year. As we have a look at our last year, it was full packed with action and work towards our two projects, namely Dhra and Uday.
We kicked our year 2023 by organizing a set up stall in Delhi along with IHE Delhi. Our team made our presence felt in various competitions as we made it to the semi-finals of Enactus India National Exposition 2023 and bagged the first runner up prize at INNOVISION at IIT Ropar. Cleanliness drives were organized at student center and near Dhanas Lake, Chandigarh. We didn’t let anything untouched as we also set up stalls at rose fest, CHASCON, Khadi exhibition, Tarang and at MCM DAV College. A diya painting workshop, Kalakriti, devoted to development of individuals with disabilities was also arranged.
This last year was a great success which wasn’t possible without such a great team and an appreciable faculty advisor like Prof. Seema Kapoor ma’am who always stood there as the backbone of Enactus whenever we find ourselves amidst of any problem.
Thus we end this year on a great note and hopes to do better in this coming year.

Matching the zeal of Diwali, Enactus SSBUICET, Panjab University, Chandigarh set up a stall at MCM DAV college on the occasion of Diwali fest grabbing the opportunity.
Displaying our products of utmost quality consisting of diyas for Diwali from project Dhra, bags and reusable sanitary napkins from project Uday continued to be a huge success at the fest attracting the crowd with fervour.
Given this opportunity by NSS to set up the stall we stood second out of 50+ stalls set up being judged on the product, presentation, connection with customer and overall service and received a cash prize of 4000 rupees and many certificates, team Enactus continued to be it's best as always.
The hardwork and continuous efforts put by the team and the facility advisor Seema Kapoor ma'am resulted in the stall being such a huge success lighting up everyone's diwali.

Enactus SSBUICET, Panjab University participated in INNOVISION, a Case-study held at IIT Ropar on 4th and 5th November 2023, offering a distinct platform where participants from diverse academic backgrounds and institutions come together to showcase their innovative problem -solving skill.
Our team included Mahi, Aditi and Gaurav bought laurels to the entire University by being the 1st runner up among 12 teams participating.
The event included of two rounds where team SSBUICET was one of the top 5 teams selected for second round.
Ultimately being the runner up of the competition.

Enactus, Panjab University, Chandigarh organized a stall at student centre under the event “Tarang-Khushiyon Ke Sang” on 3rd of November . It was an exhibition arranged by Panjab University’s Centre for Social Work , to provide a platform to local artisans, non –governmental organizations, SHG’s and many more.
The event was flaunted by 41 stalls, among which one was organized by us, where we were given a chance to showcase the products made by the communities under our project Dhra and Uday. We as team Enactus are also working during this festive season to illuminate their live with happiness and prosperity. The cabinet members were also there who lead the whole group to make this stall a success.
Our stall was also graced by Prof. Seema Kapoor, Enactus faculty advisor who praised the efforts our team is making on daily basis to make our each step count in the upliftment of the weaker sections of society. Every little help, whether volunteering time or helping other sell their product, have effect on others life and this is what we try to do each day as a unit.

Enactus SSBUICET, Panjab University came up trumps in the Celebration of Khadi Mahotsav where we were able to showcase the motive of both Enactus and Khadi to adapt the idea of sustainability on 25 October 2023. Khadi commenced the idea of freedom and sustainability which became the national fabric of India and a central icon of India's freedom struggle.
During the event the Enactus team set up a stall in The Student Centre, Panjab University along with NSS on the occasion of the Khadi exhibition. Our team got a colossal opportunity to showcase our project Dhra.
The event was attended by a huge number of youths who appreciated the idea of Enactus, our project Dhra and it's products and our Country's cloth the Khadi thus, made us accomplish the goal of team Enactus who works for the beneficiary of our society and our environment.

Enactus SSBUICET, Panjab University toasts to fresh starts and a promising future. The team hosted a special event on October 19, 2023, to commemorate the launch of their website and to award and present certificates to the cabinet members for the 2022–2023 session. Certificate is presented as a token of love and respect for their dedication towards Enactus for bringing change, said Prof. Seema Kapoor, the Faculty Advisor.
During the event, the website of Enactus team was unveiled by Prof. Jatinder Grover, Dean Student Welfare, Panjab University in the presence of Prof. Naresh Kumar, Associate Dean Student Welfare, staff of DSW office and Enactus team members. DSW appreciates the efforts for making the website.
The website will function as a central hub for disseminating information, providing updates, and promoting initiatives associated with the student chapter of a non-profit social entrepreneurship international organization this website will play a vital role in facilitating increased engagement between the organization, its members, partners, and the broader community.

We at Enactus SSBUICET, Panjab University got the opportunity to showcase our projects (Uday and Dhra) at The Chandigarh Science Congress (CHASCON) 2023. Through its efforts, Enactus has always benefited society, and CHASCON gave us a platform to sell the products of our ongoing projects.
CHASCON, is organised every year since 2007 by Panjab University in collaboration with the Chandigarh Region Innovation and Knowledge Cluster (CRIKC), held this year for the 16th time from October 12 - 14, 2023, with the theme "Global Science for Global Wellbeing" this time.
The event was attended by a large number of academics, academicians, and researchers, making it extremely engaging. Items from our ongoing projects DHRA such as diyas, plant pots and project UDAY like different sized tote bags, sanitary napkins, purses, pouches, side bags were placed on a stall and drew a lot of attention, making the effort worth it.

Enactus SSBUICET introduces you all to Project UDAY, which is dedicated to reducing plastic waste's detrimental impact on the environment. This initiative empowers 1,385 underprivileged women from Nayagaon, making significant strides towards achieving UNSDGs.
Through our efforts, we aren't just curbing environmental harm by preventing the release of over 24 kg of chemical pollutants; we're also actively addressing societal taboos surrounding menstruation. At the heart of our mission is the belief in the transformative power of education and economic independence.

Enactus SSBUICET, Panjab University celebrated India’s 77th Independence Day with the specially-abled children of Samarth Jiyo, residential care for special children in Sector 15, Chandigarh. A workshop was conducted on the topic “Colors of Unity: Hand in Hand for Independence”, in which the specially-abled children were taught to paint the Indian flag on chart paper using watercolours.
The Independence Day celebration was enjoyed by all, coming together to commemorate the occasion with great enthusiasm and joy.
