Students of Grade 4 learned about national symbols of India using self-made play cards. They created these cards, each featuring a different national symbol, and shared the information with their classmates. This hands-on activity not only enhanced their understanding of national symbols but also encouraged peer learning and collaboration. The interactive approach made the lesson engaging and memorable, fostering a deeper appreciation for their national heritage among the students.
Today, kindergarten students learned the alphabet in an engaging way using play cards. The teacher called out a letter, and the student holding the corresponding card stepped forward and responded to the teacher. This interactive activity made learning fun and reinforced letter recognition. The students enjoyed participating and were excited to show their understanding. This method effectively combined movement and learning, enhancing their grasp of the alphabet through a dynamic and enjoyable exercise.
Today, Grade 3 students learned about place value in an engaging way using playing cards. Each card represented a different place value, such as units, tens, and hundreds. Students drew cards and arranged them to form various numbers, reinforcing their understanding of each digit's place. This hands-on activity not only made learning fun but also enhanced their grasp of mathematical concepts through interactive play, fostering both enjoyment and comprehension.
Today, at Shemrock World School, students celebrated Mother's Day with heartfelt creativity. They poured their love into crafting cards and composing poems, expressing gratitude for the endless support and love of their mothers. Through their artistic endeavors, they honored the remarkable women who shape their lives. It was a touching tribute to the irreplaceable role mothers play in their journey of growth and learning.
Today at Shemrock World School, we hosted a traffic awareness workshop for our students, drivers and bus assistants. The initiative focused on enhancing their understanding of road safety regulations, pedestrian awareness, and responsible driving practices. Through interactive discussions and real-life scenarios, we emphasized the significance of adherence to traffic laws and maintaining a cautious approach on the roads. Our aim is to cultivate a culture of safety and responsibility among our transportation team for the welfare of our school community.
Yesterday, Shemrock World School hosted an engaging workshop in partnership with MAC. Students immersed themselves in the realms of VFX and editing, acquiring practical skills and industry insights. Such hands-on experiences foster creativity and technological proficiency, equipping our students for the challenges of tomorrow. Today, Shemrock World School held a career exploration workshop in collaboration with TalentGro for students in grades 6 to 8. Ms. Indu Agarwal, an expert from TalentGro, shared invaluable insights and guidance to help our students chart their future paths. The workshop aimed to inspire and empower students to explore various career options. Such collaborative efforts are integral to providing holistic education and preparing students for their future endeavors.
