Dear all,
As all of us are aware that viral conjunctivitis outbreak is at its peak.
And it is really unfortunate to come across patients in my Eye OPD on daily basis where they went on for self medication leading to flaring up of condition & cornea involvement which can lead to loss of vision.
In view of this, Iā€™m offering a free teleconsultation for next few days until the outbreak goes down.
Please donā€™t self medicate. Refer to a qualified ophthalmologist/Registered medical practitioner ONLY.

You can connect with me on the below given contact number( SMS & calling only):

Alright, So NEET-PG 2022 is happening, Finally.

Some quick tips for last 36 hours from my side.

First and foremost is to have faith on your preparation & hardwork. BELIEVE THAT YOU HAVE PREPARED WELL! Trust your class notes.
Donā€™t develop doubts about your preparation at the Nth hour. We have prepared you well!! šŸ¤

Sleep early tonight, donā€™t be awake till late tonight, it can distort your already ā€˜well establishedā€™ sleep cycle.
Good sleep before exam is very important. You would not want to mess it up just 36 hours before the exam.

Wake up a liā€™l early tomorrow to prime your body for the exam day so that you donā€™t end up feeling tired during the exam time.

Donā€™t study much tomorrow, keep your study schedule till 5 pm only, and then you can go on for a walk, or may be a short 25-30 minute excercise or can just sit in balcony and hear the bird chirp. This would release your lot of stress.

Next very important thing is to not to indulge in any telephonic conversations with friends at least till you are done with the exam. I understand many of you would be coming to a common city( NEET PG CENTRE) and may plan a get together post exam but this could result in losing of the focus. Remember that your prime target is to crack the exam, and not to have a get together. So, FOCUS ON EXAM UNTIL ITā€™S DONE.
Best is to keep your phone switched off.!

No Facebook, No social media, no WhatsApp.! Nothing but Just you with your own self.

Now, How to attempt the paper.?

There will be 200 MCQs to be done in 210 minutes.
Each MCQ is important. Your target should be to attempt anywhere above 180 MCQs depending upon the difficulty level of the paper.
If the paper is very difficult, 180 plus should be fine.
If moderate, 185 plus. If easy, 190 plus. If very easy- 195 plus.

Always answer the question by RULING OUT the incorrect options and NOT BY picking out the correct option.

Even if you are able to eliminate one option, you can try for an educated guess.

If you are able to eliminate two options, YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO LEAVE IT UNANSWERED. ATTEMPT IT!!

If you donā€™t have any idea about the question ( and given options), better to leave it. Donā€™t try for ā€˜akkar-bakkarā€™ with four options.

With all these tips and tricks, i sign out with a hope and wish that you all will do well in NEET PG 2022.

The best wishes are always with you.

P.S- Aur haan, Ophthalmology ka agar koi easy question galat karke aaye toh pitayi hogi for sure.! šŸ˜¬šŸ˜¬šŸ˜

See you soon.!
Best of luck.! ā˜˜ļøā˜˜ļø

14/05/2022

So, just some hours before the result of the most prestigious exam of the country, INICET-July 2022 session.
There has been a lot of stress among the students in regards to NEET PG since the initial days of the Pandemic.

In the year 2020, the pandemic phase was one due to which NEET PG 2020 counseling couldnā€™t take place on time resulting in late admissions.

In the year 2021, NEET PG exam couldnā€™t be conducted on time( it got delayed by almost 9 months and happened to be in September instead of January) and the counseling process (admissions) got delayed by more than an year. (such that there were no admissions to PG courses in year 2021.)
But INICET has been happening more or less ā€˜on time.ā€™
This year as well, there was a big uncertainty about the date of NEET PG 2022 exam in the beginning but the air got cleared only recently when NBE posted a notice on their website regarding the finalisation of date of the exam viz 21 may 2022.
INICET 2022 exam happened on 8 may 2022 whose result is going to be out by today evening ( as per prospectus).

Yes, the times have been really really tough for all of the students who were preparing very seriously and it was not possible to concentrate full time while preparing due to multiple Pandemic waves and stressful times at home.

Another major reason i felt while talking to 100s of students during this time was that many of them had lost the ability to focus while studying. The reasons may be manyā€¦ Of which I personally feel that the major one was that most of the students went back into their ā€˜SUPER COMFORT ZONESā€™ during pandemic and eventually lost the ability to sit for long hours and focus while studying.

If you have been one of them, do not worry, you are not alone.. and of course, YOU ARE NOT ABNORMAL.!

Donā€™t underestimate your abilities.
There have been many distractions from FB to Insta to WhatsApp ( Sorry Mark, but itā€™s True!! šŸ’šŸ¼ā€ā™‚ļø ) to snapchat to many new mobile apps. that were invented just to help those who had a difficulty in passing time during pandemic.

But thatā€™s okay!
Now why Iā€™m saying all this and that too just some hours before the INICET exam result and almost a week before NEET PG 2022 exam.
The reason is simple, No doubt how easy or the difficult paper was, the result will be based on the relative performance, not on the absolute performance of the students i.e there are no minimum passing marks. The results will be percentile based.

Total no. of students were nearly 50,000 and seats are very less ( Hardly 1 or 2% ).
But there are some students who did perform well( and are expecting a pretty decent rank) and there are some who performed well and are considering themselves on the borderline while there are some students who couldnā€™t perform well and are not waiting keenly for the results.

My suggestion to each and every student is, whether you expect a rank, or you donā€™t.. or even if you didnā€™t appear at the first placeā€¦ DONā€™T LET THE RESULT OF INICET 2022 hamper your drive of preparation at all. Donā€™t loose your concentration, motivation & self confidence for NEET PG 2022 exam which is after next 6 days.

Situations:

1) If you get within top 20, you will get into INI and will most probably get the branch of your choice as well.
You can party and booze all night šŸ»šŸ˜„
P.S- Drink responsibly, & Donā€™t drink and drive. šŸ˜¬

2) If you get in early 100s, you may get into INI( yes you can party for 2-3 hours and celebrate with friends and family.! ) BUT may still not get a branch of your choice( Branch> college in my opinion, rest is definitely upto you): so you need to give NEET PG 2022 to secure your branch most importantly. (which you will be able to do cuz your prognosis will be good)
You can also booze but a liā€™l bit. šŸ»
And Yes, You Can brag about your rank to friends and family and also to some noble ā€˜aunty-uncle soulsā€™ who will never quit to ask you.. ā€˜beta MBBS kisme kar rahe hoā€™. šŸ˜ŸšŸ§

3) If you donā€™t get into INI, even better, you have no reasons to party( and thus waste time) , just sit in your room and study and you may get into NEET PG2022.

4) If you didnā€™t appear for INICET at the first place, better than ā€˜even betterā€™, matlab woh teen ghante INICET exam mei baithkar dimaag chalane ka bhi khud ko kasht nahi diya. āœŒšŸ»šŸ‘šŸ«”

Remain focused and crack NEET PG 2022 with a top rank. ( Remember, INICET score doesnā€™t really define your NEET PG rank, so relax & give your best in next 6 days).
Donā€™t waste your time in chit-chatting with friends and discussing anything about INICET results. You will have ample time for that on the evening of 21 may 2022.

So guys, before the results are out, Iā€™m telling you in advance about how to take it as.

Keep your spirits high and focus alive.!

NEET PG results never fail to surprise you and yes, the same goes for INICET exam.
So my best wishes to all of you who are desperately waiting for the results today and for the upcoming NEET PG 2022 exam.

May the best person win.! ā˜˜ļøā˜˜ļø

Alright, so after a lot of hustle-bustle, finally the NEET PG 2021 exam is going to happen tomorrow.
First of all is to not to worry and stay relaxed. I understand that there has been a lot of uncertainty lately, but have faith in yourself.
You have studied all through out and now, is the time for you to cash it.
Be calm today, donā€™t read much. Avoid caffeine intake during evening ( it may not let you sleep well at night). Have a good night sleep.
Eat good today, Eating good releases a lot of serotonin in your brain which will decrease the stress. (Yes, you can order a nice crispy & yummy pizza šŸ• šŸ• in the evening).
Avoid talking to friends on phone. Donā€™t discuss about the preparation.

Avoid using Facebook/insta after evening.( sometimes you come across a post/pic which may keep you thinking afterwards). So, Donā€™t indulge in any activity that could cloud your already vulnerable mind.
And last but not the least, attempt your paper carefully. Even if you are able to eliminate one option, you can take a chance.
Remember, in the end, it is all about how you apply your knowledge during the exam to crack the MCQs.
For the ones who would want to know the safe attempt, actually, it depends upon the difficulty of the paper.
Keep a target of 190 plus out of 200. If the paper is difficult, you can be fine at 182 plus or so. But attempting Questions less than 175 or so could actually be a little tricky. So play cautiously.
Rest, the best wishes are always with you.
May the best person win.
Stay blessed. šŸ’« šŸ’«

Important message to be imbibed by the incident.

29/05/2021

A 28 year old dairy worker visits eye opd with pain in left eye, intense watering, photophobia & history of cow tail hitting the patientā€™s left eye 6 hours back.
On examination, the eye is red and there are small superficial erosions on the surface of cornea.
On fluorescein staining, these erosions could very well be appreciated.
In cases like these, the most feared is the development of FUNGAL corneal ulcer. A cow tail can very well deposit the fungal spores over the surface of cornea which could very well lead to fungal infection leading on to the development of fungal corneal ulcer.
It is very important to start prophylactic antifungal eye drops, broad spectrum antibiotic eye drops( yes, this should also be given), vitamin C (for early epithelial healing), oral anti inflammatory (to alleviate pain) timely.
Patient is kept on close follow up.

Must to mention, that after the episode, the patient immediately went to a local medical( or NON-MEDICAL? ) practitioner in his village, where he was prescribed eye drops which was a combination of ciprofloxacin & BETAMETHASONE.
Thankfully the patient came to us before putting these eye drops, otherwise, the steroid in the combination would have caused a havoc in patientā€™s eye.
The patient should get better in due course.
In the end, Sanity prevailed. šŸ™šŸ»

Message:
1. While working in dairy farms, or indulging in activities dealing with organic matter, make sure to wear a protective gear.

2. Always visit the registered medical practitioner.

27/05/2021

update.
