International Women's Day celebration at Central Poultry Development Organization NR. The event was graced by HOD of Zoology department of Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Chandigarh Dr ( Prof) Umesh Bharti and her colleagues Dr Ravneet Kaur , Dr Shivani Sharma. Also present was Ms Nidhi Mahajan, Director of NGO Organic Sharing. Women from different fields like DRDO, Dance and yoga academy were there and they shared their personal experiences in life. Dr Kamna Barkataki, Director in-charge, CPDO NR Chandigarh gave emphasis on educating the rural women and also through skill development make them financially independent. She also spoke about the inequality still existing in rural areas of India. It was a very lively session and everyone took part

Director CPDO (NR), Dr. Kamna Barkataki was invite as Chief Guest to Celebrate The International Women's Day at NABARD Punjab. The lady entrepreneurs from various FPOs and SHGs share there experiences and the lady staff of NABARD Punjab are also share there experiences and thoughts. Director CPDO (NR), Dr. Kamna Barkataki was invited as Guest of Honour in the Valedictory program on Vermi Compost Technology for Entrepreneurship at PGGCG, Sector 11 Chandigarh along with Chief Guest Prof ( Dr. ) Anita Kaushal, Principal and other dignitaries. Central Poultry Development Organization NR Chandigarh and Fine Organics Industries Ltd, Mumbai had jointly celebrated "Farmers Meet" at CPDO Campus, Chandigarh on 5th January, 2024. The function was also graced by Sh. D.K.Kapila, Ex Chief General Manager, NABARD , Dr. Vinod Kumar, Principal & Journalist Maharishi Dayanad Public School, Daria, Chandigarh, Sh. Rahul Mahajan, Founder Organic Sharing, Chandigarh , Dr. Parth Avinash Sutar, Technical and Marketing Manager, Fine Organics Industries , Mumbai and Sh Sameer Gupta Regional sales Manager, Fine Organics Industries Ltd. Farmers from different areas of the Northern states of India like Ambala, Sonipat, Shimla, Meerut etc attended the meet. Director, CPDO(NR), delivered welcome address.
It was a very enlightening session and the entrepreneurs and farmers were highly benefited by the knowledge of latest technology in Poultry Feed.

Central Poultry Development Organization (Northern Region), Chandigarh under the Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Ministry of Fisheries, A.H & Dairying, New Delhi Celebrated “World Egg Day 2023” on 13th October, 2023 (Friday) at 10 am at the premises of Central Poultry Development Organization(Northern Region), Chandigarh. World Egg Day 2023 theme “Egg for a Healthy future” highlights the power of the egg in improving nutritional, societal and environmentally sustainable outcomes, leading to healthier future for all.

This year World Egg day is celebrated by CPDO(NR), Chandigarh with the students of Maharshi Dayanand School, Chandigarh by distribution of eggs, Caps and T-shirts by NECC. There was a rally by the school children who raised slogans like “Sunday ho ya Monday roj khao Ande”. There was lots of enthusiasm among the school children who later on did some cultural items too for entertainment.
The event was graced by Dr. Vinod Kumar Principal, Maharshi Dayanand School, Dr.Shivi Maini ,GM (Technical) , Sh.Subhrato ,National Sales Head of Indian Herbs & Sh. Rahul Mahajan, Founder, Organic Sharing Chandigarh. Dr. Vinod Kumar spoke to the children about importance of eggs in nutrition. Dr. Shivi Maini distributed educational kits & juice to the students of the school & also spoke about how eggs can be prepared in numerous ways.
Dr. Kamna Barkataki, Director CPDO (NR), Chandigarh spoke about the significance of world egg day, World Egg Day was established at the IEC Vienna 1996 conference when it was decided to celebrate World Egg Day on the second Friday in October every year.
