We are looking for an Optometrist to perform eye tests and provide excellent eye care to our patients. We are searching for a talented and qualified optometrist to join our company. As an optometrist, you will be expected to use your skills and knowledge to provide high-quality vision care to our patients. Your duties will include conducting eye examinations, prescribing corrective lenses, and determining patients visual alertness.To qualify for this role, you must posse in-depth knowledge of eye-related disorders, conditions, and treatment. The ideal candidate will be customer service oriented with excellent analytical and communication skills. To be successful in this role, you should have attention to detail and be able to treat all kinds of patients with kindness and discretion, from young children to the elderly. Ultimately, you will ensure the accurate diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases and injuries. Note that to be considered for this position, you need to be a licensed Optometrist.

Roles and Responsibilities :

Perform comprehensive eye and vision tests such asRefraction & Orthoptic, ExaminationKeratometry ,ExaminationTonometer (Schiotz, Applanation & NCT)Visual field & PachymetrySlit Lamp ExaminationLow Vision AidsPediatric ExaminationOptical dispensingDiagnose defects of the eye, such as myopia, astigmatism and glaucomaDiagnose sight problems, such as nearsightedness and color blindnessProvide personalized temporary and permanent solutions to sight issues based on each patients specific case and medical historyPrescribe eyeglasses and contact lensesAdvise patients on proper eye care techniquesBook next appointments in cases where re-examination is requiredTrain patients on how to use and maintain their contact lensesRefer eye doctors and ophthalmologists when patients need to undergo a surgery or in cases of severe eye injuriesEvaluate patients for the presence of other diseases and conditions, such as diabetes or hypertension, and refer patients to other healthcare providers as neededProvide treatments such as vision therapy or low-vision rehabilitationIdentify the patients visual alertness, field of vision, and hand-eye coordinationPrescribe corrective lenses and medicationsMaintain accurate medical files for all patientsPromote eye health by teaching patients about proper eye care techniquesIdentify and assess eye defects and diseases such as diabetes and liver failureRecord all diagnosis and treatment plans including transfers and therapeutic prescriptionsDesired Candidate Profile Work experience as an OptometristIn-depth understanding of eye conditions and vision defectsHands-on experience with eye examination tools, such as ophthalmoscope and tonometerThe ability to explain medical terms simply and calmlyAttention to detailDegree in Optometry.
