Back here after a long break
Creating memories at Rameshwaram
Rameswaram is a town on Pamban Island, in the southeast Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It’s known for Ramanathaswamy Temple, a Hindu pilgrimage site with ornate corridors, huge sculpted pillars and sacred water tanks. Devotees bathe in the waters of Agni Theertham, off the beach east of the temple. Gandamadana Parvatham is a hill with island views. A chakra (wheel) here is said to bear an imprint of Lord Rama’s feet. ― Google

The Parthasarathy Temple is a 6th-century Hindu Vaishnavite temple dedicated to Vishnu, located at Thiruvallikeni, Chennai, India. The temple is glorified in the Divya Prabandha, the early medieval Tamil literature canon of the Alvar saints from the 6th to 9th centuries CE and is classified as among the 108 Divya Desams dedicated to Vishnu. The name 'Parthasarathy' means the 'charioteer of Arjuna', referring to Krishna's role as a charioteer to Arjuna in the epic Mahabaratha
It was originally built by the Pallavas in the 6th century by king Narasimhavarman I. The temple has icons of five forms of Vishnu: Yoga Narasimha, Rama, Gajendra Varadaraja, Ranganatha and Krishna as Parthasarathy. The temple is one of the oldest structures in Chennai. There are shrines for Vedavalli Thayar, Ranganatha, Rama, Gajendra Varadar, Narasimha, Andal, Hanuman, Alvars, Ramanuja, Swami Manavala Mamunigal and Vedanthachariar. The temple subscribes to Vaikhanasa agama and follows Thenkalai tradition. There are separate entrances and Dwajastambhas for the Parthasarathy and Yoga Narasimha temples. The gopuram (towers) and mandapas (pillars) are decorated with elaborate carvings a standard feature of South Indian Temple Architecture.

🌺🌺🌺Happy Ugadi 🌺🌺🌺
Andariki Ugadi Subhakanchalu ☀️🌞🌻🌺🌄💐
Decorated my entrance with theses colours marking Ugadi 2022
Ugadi History
According to popular legends, the universe was created by Lord Brahma on the same day as that of Ugadi. Lord Brahma then went to introduce days, weeks, months, and years in order to keep a track of time. Therefore, it is believed that Ugadi marks the beginning or the first day of the universe.
According to Hindu scriptures, Yugaadikrit was one of the many names of Lord Vishnu, which means the creator of ages or Yuga. Therefore, Kannadiga and Telugu people worship Lord Vishnu and seek blessings from the lord for happiness and prosperity in their lives.
Ugadi Significance-
The festival of Ugadi marks the arrival of the spring season. Ugadi also marks the beginning of a new era. Devotees worship Lord Vishnu, who is the creator of Yuga or ages. Therefore, the significance of this festival is extremely crucial to the people living in the Deccan region.

My story goes here...
After longing for more than 3 years, we finally got privileged to get a great darshan of "Sai" at shirdi..
Here am starting with the story behind the best trip of this year.
Ever since I received the book - Sai Satcharitra from my mom, I wanted to read it daily...
But do you know how difficult it is to be consistent with a thought these days... Very hard for me though...offcourse Consistency is the key..
Somehow I managed to get into the initial pages spending 15 mins of my time. I just don't know where I got this commitment from..I was literally dragged by someone and I was able to read through half the book in a week..
What can we call this... nothing less than a "Miracle".
Follow me if you want to know more of my story behind visiting Shirdi from chennai..
Stay connected with me.Will continue the rest in my next post..
A bowl of flowers from my kutty garden with a simple kolam completes my Friday..
