A contemporary reinterpretation of a heritage Chettinad villa.

The traditional charm of heritage Chettinad homes and the maximalism of royalty meet contemporary elegance in this one-of-a-kind Coimbatore home by Bricks & Beams.

The walls are intentionally kept white here, for us to treat the ceiling and the floor as our primary canvas. Complementary textures, patterns and colours travel across the house in the floors and ceilings. A traditional Chettinadu tamil & Kerala palette dominates the ceiling across the passage ways in both the entrances. Artists & Architecture graduates from .ink Vaishnav, Safwan & Akhil created a spectacular art extravaganza with a spectrum of orange, blues, golds, greens and yellows complementing the other warm tones of wood.

Client wanted to bring their most memorable Canadian memories into their new home and we delivered.

The color palette we stuck to was inspired by Canadian ice hockey team, Canadian grey goose and oak tree. Kept it simple,light, modern & chic.. !

Paati Veedu by Bricks & Beams

A mix of traditional Chettinad and colonial construction techniques, this project in MeiVazhi Salai is one of our most cherished & ambitious construction milestones.

From cement art work on the facade, traditional chettinad inspired floor tiles, a courtyard in the center of the house, a custom built water body in the courtyard and more intricate details are few salient features of this project.
