Kalavati is a series that started with a sellout range of organza silk sarees. These sarees featured tiny motifs meticulously embroidered. As always, client requests help refine our ranges. A few clients wanted the same work on a silk blouse and before we knew it, we had a new range instore. These blouses are every bit versatile.

Alani
Stripes is such a beautiful part of kanchipuram vocabulary. We are always excited by simplicity in design ex*****on and this Alani series is yet another such classic example where we play with colours to create interesting ideas on a traditional weave.

Zephyr is our summer cotton edit. The maroon Coord set can work in multiple way. The tunic doubles up as a dress and the pants works well with the shirt dress too.

Maroon is a shade that we all love to come back to. And many reasons why this is special. The colour of kunkum ranges from red to deep maroon, hence a sanctity. Given our deeper skin tone, this shade from the red & burgundy family flatters us naturally. Being considered an auspicious shade it’s significant. Lastly zari and embellishments tend to stand out.

Our favourite tussars in a staple avatar. We do a range of cutwork tussar silk saree every summer and it is a sell out range. This is proof that classic will remain so always.

Some sarees capture our imagination like none others. This Kamadhenu or holy cow motif was originally conceived for a korvai saree from our Mohana range but we fell in love with the motif that we decided to incorporate it in a non-Korvai butta version too. The size of the motif was brought down but the beauty remained.

Speaking of colours, we want to share the most popular colour this season is the purple family - lilac, violet, purples & lavender. This purple shade is called vadamalli in Kanchipuram. While the current trend is dependent on fashion, these colours have always been around, inspired by the beauty of nature.
