Exciting news from Rela Hospital! We're thrilled to announce the inauguration of our Movement Disorder & Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) Troubleshooting Clinic for Parkinson's patients.

Led by Prof. Mohamed Rela, our clinic offers advanced care including IMAGE GUIDED PROGRAMMING for optimal results.

At the inaugural function, we were honored to have Sri Sannyasi Shiva Rishi from Satyananda Yoga Centre as our Guest of Honour, along with Mr. Pavan Kumar Reddy IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Tambaram, and Mr. Pugazh, the renowned actor and comedian, as chief guests.

Following the inauguration, we held a therapeutic yoga session, with around 100 patients and their families practicing yoga asanas specifically designed for motor and neurological conditions.

As part of our commitment to Parkinson's awareness on World Parkinson's Day, we're offering free consultations for Parkinson's and Movement Disorder patients until April 30, 2024.

​The event saw the esteemed presence of renowned personalities, including Deputy Commissioner of Police Mr Pavan Kumar Reddy, IPS, actor and comedian Mr Pugazh, and Sannyasi Shiva Rishi, founder of Satya Nanda Yoga Centre.

Prof. Mohamed Rela, Chairman & Managing Director of Dr. Rela Institute and Medical Centre, along with Dr. Shankar Balakrishnan, Neurologist, graced the occasion with their expertise.

As part of the event, a profound yoga session was conducted by Satya Nanda Yoga Centre to raise awareness about Parkinson's Disease, highlighting the importance of holistic approaches in managing neurological conditions.

The 8th edition of CAHOCON 2023 marked a significant milestone for our team at Rela Hospital. Our diagnostic category paper, titled 'Rapid, effective, and user-friendly analysis of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) cell count,' was shortlisted for a platform presentation. Presented by Ms. Anusha K(QCM), we were thrilled to secure SECOND place, a success we delivered with utmost pride.

Dr. Mohamed Rela (Chairman & Managing Director, Rela Hospital) represented Rela Hospital with distinction. He also delivered a compelling talk on "Liver Transplant - India Story," further showcasing our hospital's expertise and leadership in liver transplantation.

A quality improvement program (QIP) focusing on the prevention of Peripheral Line Associated Blood Stream Infections (PLABSI) has earned SECOND place. Ms. Kogila J(IPC) presented the program, showcasing our dedication to enhancing patient safety and quality of care.

Our poster on 'Monitoring & analyzing the effect of quality interventions to improve bedside transfusion practices' secured SECOND place in the clinical services category. Dr. Deepthi Krishna (Blood Centre) presented the poster, highlighting our commitment to continuously improving patient care and safety.
