The college team joins us at the NMCA Grandprix. The youngsters though intimidated, gave an equal fight and the tournament ended with a mixed result. Our secretary Dr. Udhayashankar too joined us and enjoyed a few games.

The Coimbatore edition of The HINDU in schools (THIS) State level tournament. Harbouring over 350 children from various parts of the state amidst the lush green cover of the Kumaraguru Campus , the KORE was a feast for the eyes on 20-10-2019. @ Saravanampatti

Summer camp 2k19. Every summer, we strive to spread the knowledge of Chess among new enthusiastic kids. Camps are held for 10 days where the Kids are taught to play the ancient game of strategy. @ Saravampatti

District level tournament held as part of Founder's day celebrations in memory of Dr. N. Mahalingam Ayya, the founder of Kumaraguru group of institutions and one of the strongest pillars of Indian Chess. @ Saravampatti

As part of Kovai Vizha, Dr. N. Mahalingam Chess Academy organized an interschool team chess tournament on 08 Jan 2019

District level Chess tournament (16 DEC 2018)
Held at the Central library of KCT, the players were provide a quiet atmosphere to play in. The entries were limited to 60 and the complete tournament was paperless and used projectors for pairing. The spectators could view the tournament through Glass walls on three sides. @ Saravampatti
