After 14+ years....
This moment made me happier 😍
when i was studying 6th std, i was being cornered in school by all students for keeping maruthaani in my hands and I felt shy on the whole day.! They just mocked me saying "Only Girls apply this" and Even few staffs asked me "since your mom don't have girl child, is she trying it on you.?" . From then, i left applying this maruthaani till +2. Though after entering college I knew that those were stereotypes, I didn't get situation to apply it !

and now, it's chance after 14 years.! and my mom applied maruthaani in my hand.

Small things created more structured stereotypes 🥴
Stereotypes can be in any form - make sure you break it when you get time and knowledge on it 💓

மனிதத்தை விதைப்போம் 💓

கொடைக்கானல் பழனியைச் சுற்றியுள்ள பல மலைவாழ் மக்கள் வாழும் கிராமங்களுக்கு சென்றுள்ளேன் .
அந்த மக்களை இதற்கு முன், நானும் பார்த்ததில்லை, அவர்களும் என்னை இதற்கு முன் பார்த்ததில்லை.
ஆனால், நானும் என் நண்பர்களும் எங்கு சென்றாலும் , அங்கு வாழ்பவர்கள் எங்களை அவர்கள் வீட்டுப் பிள்ளைகள் போல் பார்ப்பர்.. பெரிய பெரிய கற்களை அடுக்கி வைத்து எங்களை அமரச் சொல்லி உடனே கடுங்காபி போட்டுத் தருவர்.
அவர்கள் அன்பில், காபி இனிக்கும். வீட்டைச்சுற்றி ஆரஞ்சு பழங்கள் பல இருக்கும்.
எண்ணாமல் , கைக்கு வந்த அத்தனை பழங்களையும் பிடுங்கி மூட்டை கட்டுவர்.. மழை வாழைப்பழங்களைக் கொண்டு வந்து உண்ணச் சொல்வர் 😍
சிறுகுடிசை தான்.. ஆனல் தங்கச்சொல்லுவர்.. மனம் பெரிதல்லவா..தீண்டாமை இல்லை..
அவர்களிடம் நான் கண்ட அன்பை, மனிதத்தை எங்கும் கண்டதில்லை... ❤️

இயற்கை அழகானது.!
இந்த இயற்கையான மனிதர்கள் அதை விடவும் அழகானவர்கள்.!!!

கூடிய விரைவில் உங்களை சந்திப்பேன் என்ற கனவுகளுடன் ❤️

Post 3 : Inspire - Educate.

Have you ever come across a person who is the first one to complete his schooling and college in entire 80+ Tribal Villages of Kodai - Pazhani Hills.?

Yes.. He is Rajesh.
His Journey of education is not easy.
From being born in a small tribal village to a community leader is his first huge success.

He studied in a Tribal residential school, and then UG in Trichy and finally completed his UG and finally completed his MSW at Chennai Loyola. He worked in many places that covers tribal belt educating himself and the children.

He could earn in thousands after completing MSW degree, but he came back to his society and started to empower his community. He is the role model for the people living in 80+ tribal villages.

Kids of his community aren't much educated about outside world and importance of education. Child trafficking spoiled the lives of children to a greater extent and finally here comes Rajesh as a savior.

He worked hard to educate his community on child rights, education and safety.
Child trafficking got minimized with his efficient plan and dedicated efforts to increase awareness in his community.

He always tells us, "I am here to work for the upliftment of my community. Education is the power tool to do the above and I strictly insist my children to study for their better future, I had been with my mom in her tough times fighting for land rights and this made me to learn so that I could enrich myself and empower others with my Education.

Little knowledge is dangerous, So I educated myself on topics such as Forest Act, RTI and RTE after attending numerous trainings.

He strongly believes on Girl education and to fulfil this, he made his future life partner complete her UG and only then he married her. He waited for 6+ years to fullfil her dream, for his community empowerment and finally he married her.
She is educating kids in her free tuition for their continuity in education.

Getting education is first step and continuing it is the next tough move.
He worked hard for it. Child community were setup that includes kids to monitor their continuity in going schools with a child leadee appointed(indha line purila da enaku.. Do the kids monitor or are the kids being monitored) . This kid is educated on child rights and safety. All the planning were done by Rajesh along with his mother . His mother being the first woman in their community to fight for their rights .
Her inspiration transformed Rajesh and now Rajesh is inspiring many including me.

He used to guide me and my friends to many tribal villages on foot and has lots of knowledge about his community and their lifestyle.

He took care of me as his own brother whenever I visit his home and guided me in all the ways he can.
With him and his family support we could help numerous kids every year.
The only motto is to give them education and make them continuing it flawlessly.

Rajesh - an extraordinary person with a good attitude, well determined and dedicated inspired me as a leader, helped me as my friend and brother.
Inspire - Educate.

Thanks Rajesh anna for inspiring me and we will be in contact always and work for the welfare of Society 💓.

Be Kind - Spread Kindness.

Have you ever come across a human being who has faced difficulties and hardships for 34+ years and yet kind to others.?

Yes.! We had the opportunity to befriend and be a student to this beautiful soul.

Her name is Pameela.
Her 34+ years of teaching, is not just a number but a dictionary to learn.
She started with her teaching profession for just 350rs per month and has won numerous hearts!!!

From being a private school teacher, then to a Govt school teacher , and then to a HM of a Higher Secondary School, She equipped herself in all ways she can.

She always says,
"Person who teaches kid, should be a role model first and then be a teacher.
Teach in such a way that a kid feels that they are living inside the subject.
If I teach Geography, my kids should feel like they are inside the space.
Make the classroom lively.
Before teaching the kids regarding values,
One should follow it, kids will automatically learn.!"

Not only does she say, but also lives true to her words.!

Teacher is more than a job, as you have huge responsibility in making a better generation and she did the best in it.

While she was working as a HM in Coimbatore, and whenever we approach for any Sessions for kids, she whole heartedly allowed us to enlighten the life of Kids in all the ways.
She took many difficult moves in ensuring the enhancement of Kids knowledge in both academic and extra curricular activities.

Few kids have dropped their suicidal thoughts after speaking with her which is much notable.

She rejected her HM promotion twice as it may lead to shorter communication between her and the kids as she say "The more you interact with the kids, the more they excel"

We have travelled with lots of HM and she always stands Unique with her kind heart and soft voice.

Finally we asked her few tips to tackle a hard situation with a smile like her , and she replied
"Let them talk non sense, you spread love and work for the children - Be quiet, don't react unnecessarily, Ignore the negativity"

Ma'am, You Inspire us a Lot 💙

Age is just a number for Inspiration.

Can a girl less than 10 years of age inspire you?? Yes, I was Inspired.

We as friends, travel to many interior tribal villages on foot, by jeep to distribute bags and education kits.
Before a year(2019) , my friends and I travelled to Walagiri - a tribal Village near Pannaikadu Pirivu of Kodaikanal Range to distribute bags and education kits.

I enquired the kids randomly about their goal and need of education.

Everyday we meet unique people who inspire us in an unique aspect. Here, one little girl comes into picture.

While distributing the bag to a Girl, I enquired her ambition and her answer was spontaneous.

Usually many will have an ambition to be a doctor, teacher and police. But her thought was different. She wanted to do social work to improve the life of tribal People and help them as we do now.
Education should not only improve you but also uplift your society's perspective.
Yes. These words suites her perfectly.

Getting this answer from a kid really made my day. I felt proud of being a role model for her to help the society.

Thanks dear Child. I guess you might not remember me but your words will be my driven factor to move more potential than before.

As Social Workers, knowingly or unknowingly, our actions impact others.
Let it be good and useful 😊

Be responsible, as children watches us.!
They see - They do.!
Because Age is just a number for Inspiration.
