3 Dec 1971 was the day when the liberation war of Bangladesh commenced. On 16 Dec 1971, the war against Pakistan ended and “ Bangladesh became a free country” .

Fast forward to 3 Dec 2023. The war has changed to debates on the TV and shouting which has reached its crescendo to make me shut down all news channels and enjoy music, away from constant and persistent verbal diarrhoea from all our TV news channel.

I am dreading 3 Dec 23 since the “experts” who will take pole position till evening ( not like and continue for the next few days telling us” how accurate their predictions were “ and of course,” we continue to break news” with noise and images flashing in front of our eyes to ensure that we shut our eyes and ears or, better still watch sports ( yes, cricket 🏏 ) “

Every minute wil be maximum - noise, voice and opinions and “ we said so!” The battle has already been” joined” as we use this term in the armed forces then and now!

May sanity prevail - tall ask from our TV news channels. Better to go outdoors on a picnic until the “ noise, voice and opinions” reduce. It will never end🙏
