When asked whether she feels hopeful about the climate actions taken by the governments so far, she replied
"This is COP '26'. This just makes me think what have we been doing all these years ? Empty promises, unreachable goals, casual business deals and politics...I think it's high time that we overlook all of these and start making an actual change"
Kudos Mahashri for putting out your opinions fiercely and your genuine concern & awareness about climate change!!

Wind is an important element when it comes to current weather and predicting future forecasts. Wind transports moisture and temperature from one area to another, therefore weather conditions change with the shift of wind direction.
Wind is a great renewable source of energy which is used to generate electricity. Wind mills harness the power of wind and generate electricity .
As part of wind study our students made model of anemometer, weather vane and wind mill which enhanced their concept understanding .
Skeleton forms the framework of our body and joints helps in movement. A study about gait of animals by creative diagrams and models of ball and socket joint and skeletal system by grade 6 students
"So long as you do not achieve social liberty, whatever freedom is provided by the law is of no avail to you"
- BR Ambedkar
November 26 is a landmark day for India. On this day in 1949, the Constitution of India was adopted by the Constituent Assembly and on January 26, 1950 it came into force. The Constitution declares India a "sovereign, socialist, secular, democratic republic and to secure to all its citizens justice, social, economic and political; liberty of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship; equality of status and of opportunity; and to promote among them all fraternity assuring the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the nation." Ahead of Constitution Day or Samvidhan Divas, we remember BR Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian constitution. Constitution Day was first celebrated in 2015, when the government decided to mark the day as a tribute to BR Ambedkar.
TIPS CBSE, Coimbatore celebrated the Constitution day by encouraging the students to read out the preamble and understand different aspects of democracy.
The Declaration on the Elimination of Violence Against Women issued by the UN General Assembly in 1993, defines violence against women as “any act of gender-based violence that results in, or is likely to result in, physical, sexual or psychological harm or suffering to women, including threats of such acts, coercion or arbitrary deprivation of liberty, whether occurring in public or in private life.”
Violence against women continues to be an obstacle to achieving equality, development, peace as well as to the fulfillment of women and girls’ human rights. All in all, the promise of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) - to leave no one behind - cannot be fulfilled without putting an end to violence against women and girls.
Nutritive value of food can be enhanced by simple household methods like combination and germination.
Combination is the process of combining foods from different food groups to improve the quality of nutrients. It is the easiest way to consume all nutrients . Combining cereals and pulses is the best way to get all the essential amino acids as cereals lack certain amino acids and these are present in dhals. On the other hand dhals lack some other amino acids that are present in cereals.
Germination boost the vital nutrients present in cereals and pulses.Germinated food items has increased digestibility. Nutrient like vitamin -B gets doubled and vitamin-C increases almost 10 times in its quantity .
As a part of Homescience practicals ,Grade-12 NIOS students had made nutritious recipes by using nutritive value enhancement methods.
End-of-year is festive season and the amazing Indian festival of lights (Diwali) is almost here. Diwali is celebrated to honor and celebrate the return of the beloved hero (Lord Rama) and the triumph of good over evil.
It is also said that the Goddess of prosperity "Lakshmi" visits people's homes during Diwali. To welcome her, people clean their homes, light up charming light lamps and set-up colourful garlands on doors.
Children are at home, away from all the physical academic activities, and that is a good reason to get them involved in related festive fun. Keeping this in mind, we conducted a few diwali activities ideas for children that brought immense joy during the most festive season in Diwali!
