In alignment with Chancellor ’s vision, and UN SDGs, Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore, convened its Sustainability and Societal Impact (ASB-SSI) Committee inaugural meeting on April 24, 2024 (Wednesday) @ 2.00 PM IST in Sharaddha hall. The committee members include thought leaders and experts like Aram Vinay Balakrishnan; members from ASB Nava Subramaniam Sanjay Banerji Venky Nagan Palanisamy Balasubramanian Deepak Gupta Shobhana Madhavan Dr Muralee Krishnan C Dr.Senthil Kumar Arunachalam Gopakumar V; attendees includes Sangeetha Gunasekar Hemamala Krishnan.

Nava Subramaniam, Dean, ASB Coimbatore presented on the sustainability initiatives and social impact made by ASB till date and made a clear case on the opportunities and need to forge forward. The ASB-SSI committee initiated a dialogue on pioneering approaches to tackle sustainability challenges in the society and management education. The deliberations were made on a range of societal concerns, setting the stage for ASB's proactive engagement with society and stakeholders for sustainability and social impact. Going forward, the committee will steer ASB towards regenerative, restorative, and reparative strategies that ensure alignment with ASB’s core mission-critical attributes and reinforcing its commitment to sustainable development and societal betterment.

The one-week orientation program was an eye-opening week about the various streams and benefits of management studies. Students learned about the basics of all the streams offered in ASB.
During the inaugural function, they were enlightened on the happenings on today's world from the Alumni. The first day started with the Integrated Amrita Meditation session where they learned yoga and meditation. Then they had a glimpse of all the subjects through sessions over the week and learnt the rules and regulations of campus, hostel and central library. There was a separate session for Accreditation and Placements which helped to know better about the Institution.
The talent show was a wonderful event organized and it showcased the talents of individuals from dancing to painting, photography and doodling.

ASB has inaugurated its 27th batch full-time MBA program (MBA 2022 – 24 Batch) at Amriteshwari Hall on the campus on 25th July 2022. The new batch comprises students from all over the country, from different disciplines, including engineering, arts and science.
Swami Matru Krupamrutha Chaitanya and Swami Nikeleshamrita Chaitanya offered prayers and lit the holy lamp along with other dignitaries. Principal of ASB Dr. Sangeetha Gunasekar welcomed the gathering. Dean Dr. Nava Subramaniam gave the Inaugural Address and said, ASB is working closely with globally renown researchers, prominent industry leaders, and its alumni, and is strongly committed to building aspiring management leaders and entrepreneurs, in gaining requisite knowledge and skills in a highly dynamic world.
Mr. Unni Krishnan R (MBA 2004), Ex-Director- Marketing, Phillips & Ms. Rajeswari Mani (MBA 2006) Tax Senior, Ernest & Young, GOS were the Guests of Honor. They emphasized on the need, to be updated with latest news and trends in technology. Both of them explained how ASB has changed their life career.
Retd. Air Commodore Sri Satish Menon, Campus Director, Dr Bharat Jairam, Dean School of Computing, Dr. Madhu Menon, GM, CCD, Retd. Rear Admiral Sri V Mohandoss, Director, AIP were present on the Occasion.
The orientation program for new students will extend for one week, all designed to benefit the students to adapt to the management domain with ease.

Amrita School of Business Coimbatoreand Dalal Street Investment Journal (DSIJ) jointly hosts a stock market investment game "FinvesT21". The online game will be played by the Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management course students from August 02 to October 30, 2021. Each student will actively manage their investments by using the virtual money of Rs. 1 million for asset allocation, stock selection, portfolio construction, portfolio revision and portfolio evaluation in a real-time online environment. The participants' portfolio will be continuously ranked based on the wealth created daily. The gamified learning in finance is directly mapped to the outcomes of IAPM course. The participants will document their learnings and submit FinvesT21 learning report for assessment and feedback. The coordinator for this investment game is Dr.A.Senthil Kumar.
