RELOCATION OF SOME TRADERS ASSOCIATION TO THE NEW EKE OZZI BY THE EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN OF IGBOEZE NORTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT.
Today the 15th day of September 2023, marked the relocation of four (4) traders associations to the new Eke OZZI market.
It was a land mark achievement of the present administration under the able leadership of Rt hon Engr Williams Ejike Itodo.
The chairman was ably represented by the secretary to the council Hon Barr Paul C Odo.
Four of the market traders association relocated are
1. The Eke OZZI Butchers association.
2. The Plastics traders association
3. The Electronics, Music & Video dealers association( MUVDAN)
4. The Goat & Ram dealers association.
Shops allocated to these traders were successfully commissioned by the secretary on behalf of the Executive chairman .
Speaking on the occasion, the deputy chairman Hon Johnson Ogbu who incidentally is the chairman, market committee extolled the Executive chairman of the council for his foresight in developmental projects. He expressed gratitude to the chairman for giving him opportunity to serve in that capacity. He enjoined the traders to relocate IMMEDIATELY to their respective shops without delay and directed the relocation task force to swing into action immediately.
Responding on behalf of the traders the EMETA chairman expressed appreciation to the council for providing the facilities and promised that they will be effectively put into use.
Also, the boreholes earlier built and commissioned by the state Government were today officially handed over to the market traders association to maintain and ensure that they are optimally utilized.
The secretary while commissioning the shops enjoined the traders to embrace peace and learn how to tolerate each other in the course of their business. He advised them to avoid un heathy competitions.
Present at the ceremony were the chairman of the traditional ruler's council HRH, Igwe Gabriel Agbedo, HRH Igwe Wilfred Ekere, The chairman of EMETA Chief Sunday Nwangwu, Mr Ojadi HOD, community development, Council supervisors among others.
