"Life is a mirror, reflecting to you everything you need to know in order to free yourself from the story. Life is a mirror: your friends, your husbands, your wives, your relationships, they’re all mirrors reflecting to you where you’re lost and how you’re lost in the story. If only we would pay attention - look into the mirror.

Who have I become in my story? Am I controlling? Am I judgemental? Am I unworthy? Am I arrogant? Do I judge myself? Do I judge others? Am I hard on myself? Do I feel like a failure, deep down? Do I feel like I’m not good enough? Who am I in my story and how am I dealing with that in my story?

If, deep down within my story, I feel unloved, how am I dealing with that? Am I pursuing love, trying to please everyone? Or am I withdrawing and hiding so I don’t have to feel the pain? Do I feel shame? Do I feel guilt? Am I a blamer within my story? Do I need to be right? Is that who I am in my story?

The more you bring the story to consciousness, in right relationship with it, the more you’ll find yourself relaxing out of the story. The story itself will relax. The story itself will begin to gradually and gently transform as you bring the energy of love, acceptance and compassion to it.

But what supports everything I’m saying is presence - the energy and consciousness of presence. You, present in this moment. Who is present in this moment? I am. Who is I am? I am. That’s the end of the journey, it’s the end of the story. Who is transcendent of the story? I am. Who is here now? I am.

We free ourselves from the story, we settle into the I am that I am, and then we re-emerge as a beautiful expression of the unique being that I am, or that you are, without limitation, without fear, without concern with what others think of you. Just being authentic, being true to who you really are from presence. It’s like a re-emergence. You re-emerge as all that you are.”

My clients often ask me this question what is self? How do I love myself?

In reality we are conditioned to believe that love comes to us from another source... from our parents, from our lovers, significant others, friends. So we spend our life looking for love.

But till we can deeply love and accept ourselves we can neither feel loved nor love any other person.

We need that empty space to be filled by another person. So we set out conditions to the other person how to gratify us.

This can set off an endless loop. We hardly realise that it’s the play of our ego.

💜Authentic self-love is about cultivating a very kind, responsible, and respectful way of relating to yourself.

💜It’s how you relate to yourself. It's how you see yourself, not how you want others to see you. If we are kind and understanding with ourselves, we will not need external validation. At the same time be protected from the labels others are giving us. Example: "You are uncaring", "You are lazy", " You are not clever"and so on...which essentially gives us the message "we are not good enough"!!

💜When you alter your relationship with yourself, your external world too will shift too.

One way to be in the present moment is by noticing your surroundings. How often do you take time out of your day to actually look around and see what's going on? When was the last time you sat down, closed your eyes, took a deep breath, and just looked at everything around you?

Daniel Goleman laid out five components that are critical for emotional intelligence.
1. Self-Awareness. The ability to recognize what you’re feeling and also understanding how your emotions and actions can affect others.
2. Self-Regulation. Being able to regulate and manage the emotions you’re feeling while waiting for the appropriate time and avenue in how to express them.
3. Motivation. Emotionally intelligent people are motivated by things beyond money, fame, or success. They’re also able to understand and desire the need to fulfill their own inner needs and goals.
4. Empathy. Having a high EQ means being able to understand what others may be feeling and are going through and responding kindly and thoughtfully.
5. Social Skills. Social skills are vital to emotional intelligence. When you’re aware of how you’re feeling, what others are feeling, and able to communicate effectively, you’re ready to interact well with others.
Understanding and putting these components into action thoughtfully and intentionally can make a drastic difference in not just your life, but those around you. It will help you become more empathetic towards other people and more aware of your social surroundings.

Healing is the personal experience of transcending suffering and transforming to feel whole or complete. It holds space for empathy, emotional contagion, self-regulation, mirroring, and mentalizing.

There are times in life that we all struggle with personal problems, difficult thoughts and feelings, and we might struggle trying to make sense of our lives. We can turn to friends and family for support, but sometimes friends and family may not be the right option, primarily because our close ones often have their own bias about our lives and very often offer advice that might work for them but may not be right for you personally, or perhaps you could be shy or even embarrassed to talk with them about an issue that’s bothering you.

This is where counselling can help.

EQ is being regarded as one of the important contributors to your success. These are some of the traits which people with a healthy emotional intelligence usually have.
🌸Be able to handle criticism without going into denial, blame others or self, make excuses or have anxiety.

🌸Be open minded. Be accepting of differences and differing points of view.

🌸Be a good listener - accepting and non judgemental.

🌸Be more aligned to your own truth, instead of need to be unauthentic, or sugarcoat the truth. Unduly dependant on other people’s opinion of you.

🌸You will find it easier to apologise when wrong, instead of taking everything to heart.

🌸You will not have a victim mindset - holding everyone accountable for hurting your feelings. Instead be able to take responsibility for your own state of mind by taking positive action.

How we respond to ourselves and others impacts our home and work environments. Living in this world means interacting with many different types of people, as well as constant change and surprises.

Being emotionally intelligent is
🌸key to how you respond to what life gives us.
🌸It’s also a key component of compassion and understanding the deeper reasons behind other people's actions.
🌸It is is especially important when you are dealing with stressful situations like conflict, change, and obstacles.

During these times, it's critical to remember to practice kindness, and being in touch with our emotions can help us do just that.

The healing power of nature impacts our emotional and physical well-being. A natural environment or even a high-quality photograph of a beautiful landscape can relieve anxiety, reduce anger and fear, lower heart rate and muscle tension.

Several studies show that having a view of the mountains from a hospital window can speed up the recovery and even make physical pain more tolerable.

The healing energy of the mountains fuels our body and mind. We feel balanced by their tranquility and silence. Mountains often give us the support we need connecting us to our essence.
