Rusk is a dehydrated and sugar-loaded version of bread, containing trans fats, additives, sugar, and gluten.
It has more calories than bread, with approximately 407 kcal per 100 grams compared to 258-281 kcal in a loaf of white bread without added sugar.
Rusks are often made with stale bread, which may contain pathogens and molds, leading to health hazards like diarrhea, constipation, and food poisoning.
The combination of sugar in tea along with sugar-loaded rusks can spike insulin levels.
High in carbs, rusks paired with milk tea can increase calorie intake, raise triglyceride levels, and disrupt metabolic health, increasing the risk of obesity and cardiac ailments.

Bananas are high in carbs, which can lead to a rapid increase in blood sugar levels.
A medium-sized banana contains 14 grams of sugar and 6 grams of starch.
However, bananas are also rich in fiber, which can help slow down the absorption of sugar into the bloodstream.
Bananas have a low glycemic index (GI) score, making them a suitable choice for diabetics.
Diabetics can eat bananas, but moderation is key.
A small banana consumed twice or thrice a week is considered safe for diabetics, but it’s best not to consume bananas daily.🍌⚠️

In summary, while bananas contain sugar and carbs, their fiber content and low glycemic index make them a reasonable option for diabetics, as long as they are consumed in moderation.

The word “organic” on a food label is a marketing tool, not a statement about food safety or nutrition. Organic food is no healthier or safer than conventionally grown food. Some organic products may still be high in sugar, salt, fat, or calories.
The “USDA Organic” label generally signifies a product is made with relatively minimal synthetic pesticides and fertilizers, and that animals are raised according to certain guidelines. Organic foods must meet USDA requirements, including not using prohibited substances (like synthetic fertilizers) and GMOs. 🌱

Regular apple consumption may lower blood sugar by reducing insulin resistance, thanks to polyphenols, primarily found in the skin.
Apples can be a beneficial snack for individuals with diabetes, offering nutrients that support digestive and cardiovascular health.

While apples contain carbohydrates that can raise blood sugar, their high fiber content helps stabilize blood sugar levels.
With high fiber and low sugar content, a medium apple provides around 4 grams of fiber and 20.8 grams of sugar.

Apples make the list of the five best fruits for diabetes, alongside guava, orange, papaya, and melons, being low in fat, calories, and sodium.
Consuming two apples a day can contribute to heart health, as apple peels are rich in antioxidants known for their cancer-fighting properties.🍏💙

Tip of the Day: Aim for 7 hours of sleep. If you get less than 7 hours of sleep per night regularly, your diabetes will be harder to manage. Insufficient sleep raises blood sugar and insulin resistance, making it more challenging to control your condition.

Additionally, too little sleep can increase insulin resistance, leaving you feeling hungrier the next day and reducing how full you feel after eating. Prioritizing restful sleep is crucial for managing blood sugar levels and supporting overall health. Make sleep a priority in your daily routine to promote well-being and improve your health outcomes.
