I was honored to participate in the International Purple Fest – Goa 2024, organized by the State Commissioner’s Office for Persons with Disabilities in collaboration with the Directorate of Social Welfare, Government of Goa. Supported by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, the festival aimed to showcase the talents of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) through captivating performances in music, dance, and entertainment during the Opening Ceremony.

I had the privilege of being invited for a panel discussion, focusing on the causes of delays in the diagnosis and treatment of Persons with invisible disabilities. This discussion covered perspectives from both patients and doctors, with the goal of raising awareness among policymakers about the deficiencies in managing such patients.

It was heartening to witness attendees from various parts of India and abroad, and being part of this event was truly a privilege.

As the New Year unfolds, may it bring you days of ease and moments of relief. May your journey with pain and disease be met with courage and progress.
Wishing you a year filled with comfort, good health, happiness and the strength to overcome any challenges.
