amaranth is known to be high in proteins, especially Lysine. It has been seen that quinoa only comes second to amaranth in terms of Lysine.

Another noticeable difference is in the taste between the two. When compared to amaranth, the quinoa has a bitter taste. This bitter taste is because of the saponins coating in quinoa, which is not present in amaranth.

When cooking, the quinoa grains have to be rinsed many times to get the coating off. On the other hand, amaranth grains do not need to be rinsed many times.

Amaranth is unique in that it offers a complete vegetable protein solution and is also a great source of calcium, dietary fibre and minerals, including magnesium, iron, copper, manganese and phosphorus. Great for strengthening and toning the body, Amaranth is a good source of all essential amino acids, especially lysine, and is gluten free.

So, is it true that bread and roti are comparable? When it comes to weight loss, which one is better?

✅Wheat Roti :
We would like to say ,you can make variety of chapatis by adding spinach, methi leaves, cooked green gram, potatoes, flax seeds, oats, besan, etc. along with spices of your choice. Also you can mix other flours like rice flour, amaranth flour, besan, ragi, bajra flour, oats etc. to wheat and make your own multigrain chapatis and breads.

✅Multi grain bread:
Multi grain breads purchased from market due to presence of additives /preservatives in factory made multigrain breads. But if for some reasons, you opt for later, get the breads from reputed manufacturers and if possible, read the ingredients before deciding the brand.

👉But now, if we see which is more healthy.. then it's the roti which is more healthy.
It is because it's contains proteins, it's made at home, It doens't consists of any presavatives. And bread on the other hand is not made at home, there maybe many preservatives in it, and it's not as healthy as a roti and plus it is a packaged food product.
