With great pleasure, we unveil the collaboration between the Academy and the esteemed Indian Institute of Interior Designers (IIID).

The students of Academy of applied arts got the opportunity to indulge themselves in an insightful panel discussion that featured a distinguished group of lighting design experts who shared their experience and knowledge on 'Achieving the Ideal Harmony Between Human-Centric Lighting and Architectural Aesthetics.' The session not only opened new paradigms of thinking and exploration for the students but in turn exposed them to a homogenous ecosystem of designers from varying backgrounds of art and architecture .

Our Next Level Association With The Academy

Following Day 3 as a part of VLP Campus Connect, a Master Class on “ Designing for Luxury - A Classical Antiquity “ was undertaken by Mr Ashmit Alag - Principal , Transform Design wherein he took the students through various spaces designed by label Transform Design evoking sensitivity, well-being and happiness with a bold accentuation interpreting luxury in its true connotation.

Ashmit Alag - Principal , Transform Design is renowned worldwide for his enormous contribution to various design verticals including Neuro-Architecture, Luxury Residential Design, Visual-merchandising, retail and to name a few.

In 2015, he was awarded the ‘40 Under 40’ title by ‘design:retail, USA’ and honoured by the Art Institute of Seattle, USA on their ‘Wall of Fame’ in 2011.

Now residing in India for almost about 16 years , he passionately runs his premium luxury interior design and architecture consultancy practice, label Transform Design. Transform creates delightful, one of a kind design experiences ranging from apartments & villas to private palaces. The two common features in all their projects are luxury and timelessness.

August 28th ,22 Day 4 :- Recollecting the flavourful memoirs of these 4 days of industrial exploration , collaboration and recreation , day four started on a beautiful note walking down the memory lane of students journey through the virtual learning programme and how it became a life changer giving them a new definition to themselves and also infilling the ability in their visions to be more emotinally intelligent , agile , innovative and aware as designers with a more utopian and unified approach to design .

27th August ,2022 :- Aiming to create an enriching and fulfilling campus learning experience as a part of VLP campus connect , day three took off with a great start to a master class on “ Designing for Luxury - Classical Antiquity “ by Mr Ashmit S Alag - Principal, Transform Design - renowned worldwide for his contribution in field of Interior design ,he was awarded the ‘40 Under 40’ title by ‘design:retail, USA’ and honoured by the Art Institute of Seattle, USA on their ‘Wall of Fame’ in 2011 .

Following this an experiential tour to Kohler experience center and pepper fry design studio was conducted for a more tangible experience to luxury bathrooms and quirky bespoke furniture.

26th August,22 Day 2 :- Opening new paradigms of learning and innovation , day two was centred around an heritage walk to Sunder Nursery - a 16th-century heritage park spread around a span of 90 acres , a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Delhi followed by industrial visits to Fcml experience centre for a multi genres product experience and a tour to Jaipur Rugs - a design legacy so timeless that culminates process to product which has stood the test of time developing soft scape in design and connecting soul to state .

Day 1-25th August ,22 :- The First day to VLP campus connect aimed at promoting a cohesive collaboration amongst our virtual learning programme students of various batches and cultural backgrounds creating cross cultural diversity through social interaction , fun activities and team building exercises organised at our very own south delhi campus.
