This is the story of “Naari”, a woman who came, saw and evolved over the ages. She was born before fire was even discovered and yet lives when computers rule the world. When she was Rani Rudramma of Telengana, she was an epitome beauty and courage. She wore half the clothing that she wore now. Yet men feared and respected her. As Sharada Devi she never wore a blouse and was always dr**ed in a thin white saree yet men worshipped her as the avatar of Goddess Durga. Yet today dressed in the most conservative salwar kameez she had to face the lewd stare and hypocrisy of the society. Naari wondered when her motherland changed their belief and thoughts. Today yet again she was a successful woman amidst the men in her profession. But she had to abide by the code of ethics of society and family while men continued with their vulgar audacity. Naari understood traditions and customs well. After all she was there all along when these regulations were being doctrine. But she knew it was time to come out of the narrow dogma and beliefs and stand up sternly. She is beautiful; she is successful so why should she remain bonded within these obscene demands of the society. She decided to honor her tradition by taking it one step forward and amalgamating it with western influence. It was then ‘VALIENTE’ came into existence. VALIENTE is Naari’s story of evolution from being a queen to a no-one and then reviving again as the Princess. There is a difference in being bold and being provocative. Indo western outfits and the other fusion wears created at VALIENTE is Naari’s answer story of the depiction of the beautiful style sense of the matriarch of the Indian society. Why Valiente?
