Students of Bluebells School International, New Delhi participated in the "Hello! Japan" program organised at the Embassy of Japan in New Delhi. The children learned about Japanese culture and enjoyed Yukata👘, Shodo (Japanese calligraphy)🖌️ and Origami💠workshops. They also energetically danced to the beats of Sōran Bushi. Happy New Year 2024!! नव वर्ष की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएँ! Today we will introduce Japanese food‘Mochi rice cakes’that are traditionally eaten at celebrations and at New Year. People start the new year with a stew called ‘Zoni(雑煮)’, made from local ingredients with mochi as centerpiece. New Year mochi decorations take a unique form in Takayama City, in Gifu, with Hanamochi, a custom that’s been going over 450 years. Small pieces of mochi are wrapped on branches to emulate flowers in a tradition begun by local farmers as a prayer for family and good harvests. In a culture centered on rice, mochi remains a symbol of prosperity. #JapanVideoTopics #Japanesefood Web Japan

① Japanese Sweets Shine on Social Media
Do you know that Japanese Sweets Shine on Social Media when it comes to aesthetic ''food-ography''?!🍡🍰🍦 Japan is known for its inventive confectionary, and people love posting photos of the latest creations on social media. We visit a Tokyo store that sells accessories that look just like sweets, together with the actual sweets they are based on. It became famous after customers posted photos online. Social media has been a boon for traditional Japanese wagashi sweets too. The 400-year Kagawa tradition of rice sweets called Oiri was in decline. But when a cafe used them as toppings for soft-serve ice cream, it sparked a social media sensation reviving the tradition. #JapanVideoTopics #japanesesweets #JapanIndiaTourismExchangeYear Web Japan

Seeing Asakusa by Rickshaw
Auto-rickshaws and cycle-rickshaws🛺 are an essential means of transport for Indians, but did you know that the name originally derives from the Japanese word ‘Jin-rikisha(人力車)'? The Jin-rikisha (rickshaw) was invented in Japan in the second half of the 19th century. Made redundant by modern forms of transportation, today rickshaws live on mostly to carry tourists in Japan. Rickshaws are a common sight in Asakusa, an old part of Tokyo that is a popular tourist spot. Faster than walking, more leisurely than cars, they're the most enjoyable way to tour this ancient district's temples, shrines and fascinating back lanes. Another attraction is the rickshaw pullers, providing a lively and informative guide to the sights you pass. We also visit a rickshaw workshop where they are assembled by hand by a highly-skilled artist who also designs new types of rickshaws for weddings and special events, with gorgeous color schemes or LED illuminations. जापान में भी रिक्शा की सवारी का आनंद उठाएं!!! #JapanVideoTopics #rickshaws #JapanIndiaTourismExchangeYear 2023🛫 Web Japan

On December 9, 2022, Ambassador SUZUKI Hiroshi held a ceremony to confer his Commendations upon Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on the occasion of the 70th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Japan and India and the 20th Anniversary of Delhi Metro in operation. The Commendation was presented to Mr. Vikas Kumar, Managing Director of DMRC, in recognition of their distinguished contributions to the enhancement of mutual understanding and friendship between Japan and India through development and operation of Delhi Metro. The Delhi Metro has been developed with the financial and technical support from Japan since the inception of the organization for the construction of all phases of the project so far. What stands out is the collaboration of Japanese engineers and staffs of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. The success of the Delhi Metro has inspired the construction of metros in many Indian cities, and Japan is supporting the construction of these metros as well. We hope to continue being a part of India’s development, through the construction of metros. Today, the Delhi Metro Corporation is providing technical cooperation to other Indian cities, for example the Patna Metro Project in the State of Bihar. Furthermore, the Delhi Metro Corporation has recently crossed borders to Bangladesh. We are happy to know that the knowledge and experience that they have accumulated over the past 20 years of Japanese cooperation is now contributing to the development of other cities and countries. We would like to express our sincere hope that the friendship and cooperation between Japan and India will continue to prosper. In doing so, we hope that the lessons such as 'Punctuality’ and 'Well-Organized Safety Management' shared with the Delhi Metro Corporation through the construction of the Delhi Metro will spread and find place in other cities and countries. Mr. Vikas Kumar has committed to strive for assurance of punctuality, safety m
